His involvement in the financial markets provided an up-close perspective on the rewarding world of entrepreneurship, productive partnerships, and value creation for shareholders.

Eager to jump into the business world, Mr. Doukkali joined IDT, a young technology company as its 16th employee. The company was the first to offer unlimited Internet access in the US. The offer was an enormous success with US consumers, and it fell on Mr. Doukkali and a small executive team to quickly develop the internal infrastructure to support the company's rapid growth. By 1996, IDT had 1200 employees, became a leader in telecom services, achieved 600 million dollars in annual revenue, and had a successful public offering.

In 1997, Mr. Doukkali co-founded, SAKON, an International Telecom Network Service Provider. As President and COO, Mr Doukkali guided the company's global expansion strategy and the development of SAKON's products and services including its global network and IT systems. By 2003, SAKON reached over 60 million dollars in revenues and was acquired by the Titan Corporation.
