Assists, teaches and mentors- physicians, residents, fellows and new employees in NCV/EMG procedures. For the NCV Tech only- this class may also perform intermittent lead tech duties. EEG, EP, NCV, AT Examinations This tech performs at least one modality and in accordance with the standards and protocols of the department. Implements alternative methods or adjusts controls to obtain optimal recordings. Observes and records conditions and reactions of patients during exam; notes extraneous conditions which may affect recording; operates equipment; notes body movements for benefit of interpretation by neurologist. For EEG the Tech 2 is able to perform more advanced ICU, EMU, WADA studies as well as routine inpatient and outpatient studies.
