The role of the Recreation Specialist is to implement programs on the monthly Recreation Calendar, and work directly with the Residents, promoting participation in individual, group or independent recreation or leisure interests, improving the quality of life for all residents.
Assist in planning and conducting a variety of recreation programs designed to meet the needs, capabilities, and interests of the Residents
Keep ongoing and accurate progress notes and attendance records of all residents to and from activities
Help in transporting Residents to and from all recreation programs
Carry out regular one to one activities with the Residents and record these activities in the attendance book
Assume responsibility for the physical set-up and break-down of the room when assigned to an activity
Maintain and display art work for decorations, internal publicity, plants, and all horticulture items
Assist with special department projects, up to and including, but not limited to pet therapy
Requirements

Previous experience with geriatric patients is desirable.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Infection Preventionist/Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective infection prevention and control program within the skilled nursing facility. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Infection Preventionist/Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective infection prevention and control program within the skilled nursing facility. Plan, implement, and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program, including surveillance, outbreak detection, investigations, reporting, vaccination programs, audits, and staff training.
Ensure compliance with NYS and federal regulations; analyze, present, and report infection data
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and serve as an active member of QAPI, providing updates on IPC performance and outcomes.
Oversee PPE supply, infection control rounds, biohazard disposal, and survey preparedness.
Coordinate new hire orientation, mandatory in-services, annual competencies, remediation training, and EMR instruction
Maintain accurate training and in-service records in compliance with NYSDOH requirements.
Educate residents, families, and staff on infection prevention and safe care practices.

Requirements:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing
Current, valid New York State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
Current Infection Control Certificate as required by NYS licensure.

Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after their hospital discharge.
Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will provide daily support to the unit leadership & respond appropriately/timely to resident/family needs within the LPN scope of practice
LPN will use nursing process, judgment, & skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care & make decisions promoting the safety/quality direct care to resident's
Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN, will perform/administer standard nursing treatments and/or medications & observes resident for desired or unwanted effects
Communicate & collaborate with appropriate member(s) within the care team to revise/update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings including lab/test results, incidents, &/or concerns
Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will monitor & document vitals, treatments administered, & residents' responses
Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, & evaluate delivery of care of resident CNA assignments & activities, considering the category of needs & competency of personnel
Requirements:
Graduate of an approved school of Nursing
Licensed & currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN
Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, & compassionate care
Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring & enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation & optimal resident health
Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents
Have excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills
Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staff

Registered Nurse Supervisor, RN organizes, oversees, & supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments & demonstrates clinical expertise which is consistent with the established standards of Nursing Practice
Registered Nurse Supervisor, RN will identify & respond, appropriately & timely, to patient needs
Monitor, observe, & document vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses.
Registered Nurse Supervisor, RN will administer medications & treatments as needed
Communicate and direct services ongoing or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff as needed
Identify & follow disciplinary action as stated in policy

Progressive Nursing experience in a geriatric setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
