Qualifications of the New Graduate
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
The LPN New Graduate Program provides the novice nurse with the knowledge base and skill set needed to transition to competence in clinical nursing practice. The program bridges the gap between undergraduate education and “real-life” professional nursing practice, delivering state-of-the art pediatric care.
One to one patient care in a home environment

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physicians orders for each individual patient while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.
Essential Job Functions
• Responsible for the delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
• Continuously observes and assesses patient condition and care needs and reports changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
• Documents all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner whenever care is delivered.
• Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan.
• Takes appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes.
• Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implements care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
• Accepts responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards.
• Educates the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patient's nursing needs.
• Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs, continued education units, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
Additional state specific requirements:
• South Carolina - One (1) year of pediatrics experience
• California - One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license
• Louisiana - One (1) year of experience required working as a licensed nurse
• Continuing Education as required by state
• Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
• Home health experience
• Attention to detail

• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution
• Good organization and communication skills
• Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
• Must be able to travel
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance

What will I do as an Assistant in Training (AIT)?
Provide exceptional GUEST service by being courteous and always greeting and thanking all customers.
Be knowledgeable of, follow, interpret, and enforce company policy and procedures with employees.
Suggest possible purchases to the customer and promote store specials.
Ensures proper sanitation and food handling/prep/storage/disposal procedures are followed.
Maintain cleanliness of interior/exterior of building including islands and pumps.
Keep store outs to a minimum by restocking shelving, displays, and coolers as needed.
Clean fast-food area, equipment, and stock as needed.
Must be safety/security conscious, adhere to the guidelines in the Safety Manual, and report any accidents or incidents to the manager immediately.
Investigate and gather all pertinent information regarding customer and employee incidents/accidents.
Assist in the training new employees.
Manage foodservice and beverage programs to maximize sales and minimize loss.
Report to work promptly, neatly groomed, and in uniform.
Make safe drops per company policies.
Prepare and make daily deposits on the weekend, and when covering for the manager.
Assist in preparing weekly orders for product from suppliers.
Fuel customer cars, check engine fluids, and wash customer windows (Required in Oregon; as needed in other areas for handicapped customers).
Respond to emergencies when the Store Manager is unavailable.
Operate cash register and other store equipment, entering all sales in the register at the time of sale.
Prepare cashier checkout and report accurately and according to policy.

For this role we are currently looking for those who have:
High School Diploma/GED.
3+ months of customer service experience.
A willingness and passion for delivering exceptional GUEST service.
Excellent communication with a friendly can-do attitude!
Open availability to support business needs for a 24/7 operation including holidays and weekends.
A valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
Must be of age to sell alcohol.
Demonstrated ability to drive Teamwork! We work together to get the job done.
Leadership ability with previous experience supervising team members in a food service or retail environment.
The ability to think quick on your feet and react to change.
Manager in training positions are temporary in length as individuals in this position will be required to transition successfully into management or other roles in the company during the training period.

While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
