The VP of S&M develops customer relationships at all levels - from Buyers to Executive Management. Building on those relationships, he/she identifies new business opportunities for existing and new customers, converts those opportunities into short and long-term contracts, and monitors customer perception of company performance. Internally, the VP of S&M leads directs and coaches the sales and program management team.
Primary Responsibilities:

Identifies and develops new business opportunities at existing customers in alignment with company core competencies and long-term objectives.
Identifies, prioritizes, and recommends strategic and tactical approaches to capturing new customers.
Manages and coordinates customer and company interfaces. Identifies key players, and organizes meetings and relationship-building opportunities.
Communicates customer perceptions of company performance; recommends actions to address deficiencies and/or changes to capture new opportunities.
Utilizes customer network to gather information on industry trends, future opportunities, and threats.
Coordinates activities with other affiliated group companies. Communicates group company competencies and coordinates cross-company sales opportunities.

Minimum of 10 years in aerospace sales or comparable experience.

Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and specifications.
