Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance is currently searching for a Field Sales Support Specialist in Springfield, IL.
The Field Support Specialist works closely with the Commercial Roofing SalesRepresentative to support and increase the sales activity in the SalesRepresentative's region. Maintains accounts through prospecting, closing, and providing solid market presence including serving customers.

Preparing roof drawings and sketches
Preparing scope of work documents

Pricing patch and repair jobs
Providing technical expertise
Attending meetings with the architect, contractor and/or owner
Managing Accounts
Identifying, analyzing, resolving problems
Preparing reports to owners regarding the condition of roofs.
Project site visits to monitor installation of Tremco roofing products
Identification of any aspect of installation that does not comply with specifications
Review and resolve concerns of architects, contractors and owners regarding Tremco's installation instructions
Coordinating visits with contractors
Preparing reports on progress and problems for the SalesRepresentative.
QA/ QA+ inspections
Tremcare Gold Service (periodic visual inspection with minor repairs being addressed where detected on Tremco warranted roofs only).
Identifying and troubleshooting problems arising during installation and the lifecycle of the roof
May occasionally perform patch and repair work for small leaks that can be performed quickly after identifying the leak and other infrequent, limited physical labor. May also perform minor maintenance (caulking, flashing touch up, applying small amounts of mastic, removing debris, etc.) to prevent potential leaks.

Conducting diagnostic infra-red scans of roofs
Taking photographs
Preparing CADD drawings
Delivering or picking up samples, documents or small products from/to architects, owners and contractors.
Education And/or Experience
Minimum: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or combination of education and experience.
Must have a minimum of two to three years of related hands-on experience and/or training in a similar role.
Prior sales and/or customer related experience in roofing industry required.
Qualifications
Thorough understanding and application of roofing and waterproofing contracting standards.
Experience with MS Word, Excel and familiarity with CADD
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and technical information, e.g. professional journals and periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, contractors, and architects.
Ability to communicate business and technical information (e.g. information relating to status of projects, remediation plans, and customer concerns) to SalesRepresentative.
Intermediate skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, area, circumference and volume.
The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $70,000 and $90,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.

**General Summary:**

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Tranter Product and services, may include items such as:
Draft sales documentation, proposals, reports, and correspondence such as sales contracts and maintenance agreements.
Make standard calculations to accurately compile and report statistics.
Perform background research on customer accounts, prospects, competitors, and industry trends to support the sales team's activities.
Investigate and identify parts/products needed by customer.
Answer internal and customer inquiries on product availability, prices, delivery times, and the status of orders so inquiries are dealt with promptly and accurately.
Create and actively follow up the quote in order to understand if the proposed value is understood and if it is matching the customer needs.
Proactively look for upselling opportunities.
Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way to support the sales process and take decisions.
Manage the order to cash process for Standard Orders, from the order acceptance to invoicing (Order fulfillment, Ordering Equipment, Parts & Technical expertise, Monitoring cost, Warehousing, Order Shipping and Customer Invoicing).
Timely Customer communication and support during the process: order status, delivery date, problem resolution.
Backlog and WIP maintenance
Claims administration.
Customer Shipping logistics: creation of BOL & Schedule shipments
Quick Base: Work Order Setup, Maintain Integrity of Customer Demand & Data Transfer Order entry & support Inventory Control Planning efforts
QSI data collection for inventory planning & control
Review customer's purchase order to verify customer's requirements and take exception to the contract when applicable.
Maintain customer service order files in accordance with Tranter, Inc. SOP's.
Work with various teams such as Finance, Product Engineering, and Production Scheduling to distribute and follow customer orders as per the SOP.
Mailing / distribution of product drawings in accordance with customer's requirements.
Assist in effective training of entry level department team.
Communicate with staff from other areas in the organization, such as production, warehouse, transport, or distribution, to confirm the status of orders and resolve customer complaints.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies Required:
Requires ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications.
Strong computer analytic skills with experience with CRM system.
Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in customers' expectations, delivery issues, and other discrepancies
Customer facing communication skills
Effectively communicate with internal business partners, both orally and in writing. English preferred (bi-lingual a plus).
Understand, adopt and model the behavior outlined in Tranter Core Values

Comply with P&S Inside Sales and Tranter SOP's
Experience & ability to read engineering drawings & designs is a plus
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree a plus
