About the Role
The Online Sales Consultant (OSC) is responsible for managing incoming leads generated through Epcon's community websites and digital platforms. Serving as the first point of contact for prospective homebuyers who begin their journey online, this role qualifies prospects, schedules appointments, and effectively communicates the Epcon brand, communities, and home offerings.
This is a sales-focused, fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives in structured sales environments, values prompt follow-up, and enjoys engaging with buyers through phone, email, and technology-driven communication.
What You'll Do
Sales & Lead Management (80%)
Respond immediately to online registrations to engage potential buyers without delay
Answer questions and provide information regarding Epcon Communities, floor plans, the homebuying process, and current advertised promotions
Nurture “coming soon” and VIP leads to support successful community launches and sales transitions
Qualify prospects and diligently follow up to secure appointments with Epcon Sales Consultants
Execute warm hand-offs and follow-up with prospects after appointments are completed
Conduct outbound phone and email outreach to re-engage inactive or unresponsive prospects
Manage all leads, prospects, and buyers within Epcon's CRM and sales systems
Track, analyze, and report conversion metrics to support performance improvement
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support branding standards and initiatives
Maintain knowledge of market conditions, competitors, technology trends, and economic factors impacting home sales
Digital & Marketing Support (20%)
Partner with the Marketing team to stay informed on current campaigns and community updates
Ensure websites and digital platforms reflect accurate and timely information
Perform CRM and software cleanup as needed to maintain data accuracy
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
Proven success as an Online Sales Consultant or in a similar inside sales role
Homebuilding or real estate industry experience preferred
Experience using CRM systems, call tracking software, and Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of a structured sales process, including lead qualification and appointment setting
Customer-focused with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
Process-oriented with a commitment to consistent systems and best practices
Knowledge of Epcon Communities, products, and competitive landscape (or ability to learn quickly)
Understanding of and adherence to Fair Housing Guidelines

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Award (Estimating & Proposal Development):
Translate customer conversations and vague needs into detailed scopes of work
Draft subcontractor scopes and source subcontractor pricing
Compile self-perform labor estimates and materials lists
Outline clear, compelling customer proposals in collaboration with the Account Executive or PM
Post-Award (Project Delivery):
Finalize system design and build a complete materials list, prioritizing long-lead items
Coordinate equipment submittals and initiate fabrication releases
Develop and maintain the full project schedule, managing critical path and interdependencies
Lead ongoing customer communication and attend jobsite construction meetings
Prepare prefabrication drawings, equipment layouts, and P&IDs
Oversee installation progress, troubleshoot issues, and update schedules in real-time
Assemble closeout documentation and facilitate final handover
Technical Tools & Estimating Systems:
Use CAD and PDFs for design and takeoffs
Build and refine estimating spreadsheets with advanced logic (not just data entry)
Estimate budgets, track job costs, and monitor progress using spreadsheets and project controls
Develop modular quoting tools for scalable, repeatable project estimating
Ensure estimates are fully aligned with execution plans, from materials to manpower
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Welding, or Materials Engineering (required)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
Industrial refrigeration experience highly preferred
Estimating experience with pipe welding and fabrication required
Proficiency using CAD for layout/design and PDFs for estimating takeoffs
Strong understanding of technical drawings, material takeoffs, and construction processes
Proven ability to build or customize estimating tools and logic-based spreadsheets
Experience with project scheduling, logistics, and interdependency management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with client-facing professionalism
Comfortable with uncertainty; capable of guiding customers toward clarity and confidence
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to 'own' projects from concept to completion

The position reports to the Regional Sales Director on the development of prospective accounts and retention of current customers.

Minimal Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Associate's Degree from an accredited university and 5+ years' of B2B relevant sales.
