The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts. The Senior Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve the hotel's revenue and market share goals for one or more properties. The focus of sales may vary based on the respective property the associate is assigned to (Tour and Travel). This role will also serve as a mentor/trainer for members of the Sales team. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals, as well as solicitation call goals, while also
training/mentoring others to do the same.
• Proactively conduct solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients specific to Tour and Travel.
• Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Tour and Travel.
• Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
• Able to produce a weekly sales call schedule which addresses timely follow-up of all tentative business, maintenance of existing accounts, and development of new business, and priorities; along with duties assigned by the DOSM, General Manager, and/or company personnel.
• Complete all departmental reports and systems on a timely basis.
• Present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well-organized fashion.
• Make appropriate sales calls that meet or exceed company standards and that ensure appropriate business levels are maintained.
• Negotiate contracts, ensuring the best interests of the property while maintaining customer goodwill.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
• Adheres to hotel/brand established regulations, company standards, sales standards and sales metrics related.
• Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments.
• Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations, as applicable.
• May assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments i.e. sales blitzes, etc.
• Maintain understanding of operational capabilities of the property.
• Documents sales calls and or client correspondence using the correct forms/processes.
• Coordinates with the appropriate departments in the hotel, resolves issues, complaints and problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Collects proper payment for events/contracts in accordance with hotel standards.
• Maintains high visibility for hotel by active involvement in local CVB, and other business and professional organizations.
• Always provides a professional image through appearance and dress.
• Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.
• Prospect, qualify, and close new and repeat business in telephone, electronic, and outside personal sales call appointments.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales
Qualifications:

Education And/or Experience:
• At least 4 years progressive experience in sales within a hotel setting.
• Has personal integrity, manages time well, highly visible in area of responsibility and has the ability to effectively prioritize workload.
• Excellent selling skills.
• Ability to build customer loyalty and ensure proper customer service by meeting on-site contacts.
• Familiar with legality of contractual agreements
• Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
• Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Extensive experience with major hotel brands.
• Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions & procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports & correspondence as well as dates & time.
• Ability to apply deductive skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
form.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.

What will I be doing?
Position Statement: As a Sales Manager at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando, Disney Springs and Embassy Suites by Hilton, you will serve as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers requiring guest rooms, meeting spaces, food and beverage services, and other amenities. The Role
As a Senior Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a group of Territory Managers in several different markets throughout your region. The Territory Managers you will oversee serve as Slice's 'boots on the ground' responsible for acquiring new shops and upselling existing Slice partners on the value of partnering with Slice to grow their business (through our online ordering, Slice Register POS, and supplies). The Winning Recipe
We're looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial leader who is comfortable building & managing a growing sales team of in-market reps, operating in ambiguous situations, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams to maximize success.
These are the core competencies this role calls for:
* 3+ years of full-cycle in-market/field sales experience (SMB and/or restaurant-tech industry is a plus, but not required)
* 3+ years of sales management experience, with proven results (ideally leading a team of in-market/field sellers)
* Strong track record of coaching and developing sales reps on how to schedule and conduct live demos, and craft a solution that best suits the prospect's needs
* Keen ability to inspire and motivate team members
* Ability to hire top talent, and train new team members
* Laser focused on managing the team's pipeline, monitoring metrics, and achieving sales targets (and in some cases, helping team close key deals)
