The Role
The Group SalesManager is responsible for generating, booking, and managing group business that aligns with the Parker's brand, culture, and revenue goals. This role is equal parts strategist, relationship-builder, and brand ambassador - owning the group sales process from first inquiry to signed contract (and everything in between).
You'll work closely with revenue, marketing, and operations to ensure that every group not only meets budget but fits the Parker.
What You'll Do
Proactively solicit and secure group business (corporate, incentive, social, and leisure) through outbound sales, partnerships, and networking.
Respond to group RFPs with creativity, speed, and a strong sense of brand voice.
Negotiate contracts and concessions while maximizing total revenue and profitability.
Build long-term relationships with meeting planners, travel advisors, and corporate decision-makers.
Conduct property tours that sell the experience, not just the square footage.
Collaborate with revenue management to align pricing, dates, and demand strategy.
Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasts, and pipelines in CRM systems.
Stay curious about market trends, competitors, and what today's group guests actually want.
Represent the Parker at industry events, sales missions, and client engagements.

Main Duties
Selling the Palm Springs locations, including but not limited to booking events, creating contracts, sending proposals, and outreach for repeat and new business.
Perform sales site visits with clients, including pre-event walk throughs.

To ensure client confidentiality is always maintained.
Establish relationships with local DMC's, wedding and event planners and local visitor and tourist bureaus.
Manage schedule to be at the appropriate property as per schedule.
