Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a **Systems Administrator - Helpdesk Systems Administrator (25-571)** to join our team of skilled, diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is critical to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
**Position Overview:**
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It is a key operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, monitor the battle collectively, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges during all flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to boost performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate current and future missile defense system capabilities.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated Help Desk System Administrator to join our team in Colorado Springs. This role focuses on providing help desk support to C2BMC Global customers by troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of technical issues on both **Linux** and **Windows** systems.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Configuring and managing **Linux** and **Windows** Operating systems, including:
+ Implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance
+ Installing software
+ Applying and enforcing security policies using **Windows Group Policy** and automation tools such as **Ansible** and **PowerShel** l

**Basic Qualifications:**

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Requirements
Essential Functions
Configuration and implementation of the SEWS GCCS-J software and systems, GCCS-J courseware development, providing SEWS specific GCCS-J Operator training to US and FMS personnel, as well as system support to the local Colorado Springs, NATO, and various supported FMS locations.
Collaborating with SEWS contractor and government personnel to plan OCONUS trips and stay apprised of Theater issues.
Assisting with the design and analysis of user needs and associated hardware and software recommendations.
Performing system support for remote users to identify and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues, document solutions, and develop recommendations to reduce the frequency of repairs.
Responding to system outages to ensure issues are resolved per contract requirements
Providing maintenance support for system / equipment issues.
Supporting Emergency On-Site Sustainment (EOSS) travel to customer locations as required.
Planning, developing and conducting GCCS-J Familiarization Training for CCMD and FMS customers.
Providing refresher training for existing staff as well as training for new operators.
Utilizing engineering skills to research, develop, test, and document solutions for Research & Test (R&T) activities.
Required Experience
BS degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working experience with GCCS-J version 6.0 and/or at least five (5) years of Windows and Linux systems administration experience.
Strong knowledge of Server Operating Systems.
Knowledge of virtualization concepts and products (VMware).
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups.
Knowledge of current Microsoft Operating Systems (Server & Workstation).
Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgress database maintenance.
Familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss).
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible).

Compensation Range:
CO: $89,625-$103,566

What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain creative solutions through declarative development on the Salesforce platform.
Ability to assess, implement, and provide expert level support for 3rd party tooling.
Drive business velocity by evaluating new technologies and solutions to solve business problems, enhance system functionality, and drive adoption.
Keep up to date on Salesforce releases and identify methods for leveraging new functionality.
Work closely with end users and stakeholders to capture business requirements, troubleshoot errors, and improve business processes.
Understand the critical business processes across the organization to inform, design and implement scalable and relevant solutions.
Ability to articulate and interpret technical language into non-technical (and vice versa).
Execute solution testing, regression testing, and end-user testing ensuring compliance with technical requirements, and identify potential impacts to existing configuration.
Follow best practices for development and deployment lifecycles including design reviews, building deployment plans, and environment management.
Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions deployed to ensure business continuity.
Ability to manage time well in a fast paced working environment with shifting priorities.
Work in an agile environment leveraging sprint deployment framework and Jira for work item tracking.
Collaborate with the Revenue Technology team members to share best practices, knowledge sharing, make recommendations, and engage in ideation.
Willingness to take on new challenges with an ability to think outside the box. Comfortable learning new technologies on the fly.
Provide Salesforce expertise to SalesforceAdministrators and other Revenue Technology team members regarding best practices, system architecture considerations, solution scalability, and appropriate system governance.
Engage closely with project team members to identify and plan for technical and functional dependencies between projects.
Contribute to the Revenue Technology team as a leader - contributing to technical solutions through ideation through collaboration, leveraging your expertise.

What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree.
5+ years of SalesforceAdministration Experience.
Salesforce Platform Administrator and Salesforce Platform App Builder Certifications.
Experience with Salesforce's core product stack including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Agentforce.
Analytical thinker, problem solver with the ability to operate in ambiguity.
Clear verbal and written communication, especially about technical problems.
Experience manipulating and moving data, such as with Data Loader or DemandTools
3rd Party application and integration experience including Zuora, Gainsight, and eSignature tools.
Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and various project methodologies.

Responsibilities
Debug and enhance/modify Ansible scripts to deploy IaC and CaC
Patch and restart instances from enterprise patching repositories (YUM, WSUS
Set/configure/modify IAM policies to enable customer role-based access to workload IS
Integrate and implement platform capabilities (e.g., Nessus endpoint) in workload
Select and configure AMIs to optimize workload
Coordinate with other team members to implement capabilities to meet customer requirements
Troubleshoot various issues, such as operating systems, networking, cloud services, and software
Perform Active Directory administration and Group Policy management
Knowledge of DoD STIGs, and ability to implement them as needed
Run Nessus scans and remediate vulnerabilities
Be familiar with configuration management and engineering life-cycle best practices.
Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and document system configurations (Win 2016/2019 & RHEL 7/8)
Harden systems to meet security standards
Maintain COTS & GOTS software
Sustain production systems (e.g., firewalls, file servers, security monitoring systems, etc.) that serve many end users
Interface with customers in writing and via telephone to provide technical guidance designed to quickly resolve reported problems
Attend meetings as required.
Requirements:
2 years of general systems administration experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities
2 years of experience performing Windows or Linux system administration duties
Experience supporting a cloud environment (AWS preferred) to include delivering, securing/managing, and diagnosing/troubleshooting complex issues
Experience in a DevSecOps environment (e.g., working with configuration management tools, applying automation & configuration/infrastructure as code concepts)
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Discipline, or 4 years of equivalent professional or military experience can be used in lieu of degree requirements
Desired
