A strong understanding of server hardware interfaces, board bring-up, and system-level debug and security best practices/tools are essential. Strong technical leadership, security awareness and interpersonal skills required. **Responsibilities** Core responsibilities - Firmware development: Design, develop, and debug BMC firmware for next-generation server platforms. - Hardware enablement: Bring up OpenBMC on new hardware, including kernel and driver development, and device tree work. - System and software integration: Work with systems, hardware, architecture and security teams to design system-level solutions. - Collaboration: Engage with internal teams and external upstream communities like the Linux and OpenBMC communities, as well as customers and third parties. - Manageability features: Implement and optimize manageability features, including sensors, telemetry, and firmware updates. - Security: Implement security features such as secure boot, firmware signing, and vulnerability management.
