What you will be doing:
Key person with direct interface to TRD race teams to assist in optimization of engine performance while remaining reliable. This includes but is not limited to EFI map tuning, simulations, pre and post-event reports, and data analysis.
Engineering analysis and problem-solving of engine systems as related to the race cars and its intended use.
Expertise in EFI, data acquisition, and problem diagnosis.

Extensive travel to all NASCAR Cup events and many tests.
Work closely with departmental associates, TRD engineering, and teams on optimization of engine systems.

Charging system and wiring

What you will bring:
Minimum of 2 years of race engine EFI engine tuning experience. Direct experience with data collection and analysis of engine data.
Minimum of 2 years in a track support engineering role.
Minimum of 1 year engine systems development. Ability to test and analyze components or systems and generate comprehensive reports on the results.
Direct experience with EFI system hardware and functionality
Direct experience with at least one type of EFI system software and basic tuning

Machine Specialist- 1st shift
Mocksville, NC
Set up and operate one or more machines to cut and process screen frame material to specifications or cut and punch wood, metal or glass materials. Directs other personnel to assist in maximizing the efficiency of the equipment.
Adjusts machine to produce parts within tolerance and maintain scrap at acceptable levels.
Inspects quality of parts for dimensional accuracy, camber, bow, and scratches.
Perform quality checks using caliper and tape measure or check gauge.
Performs tooling changeovers.
Change saw blades and adjust depth of cut where necessary.
Enter production orders into controller.
Lubricate machine and tooling per preventative maintenance schedule or as needed.
Performs all cleaning requirements necessary to meet specifications.
Perform job requirements and operate equipment within safety guidelines and reports any nonconformance.
Maintain all documentation that is required.
Trains and helps personnel processes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Reading and writing skills are essential. Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence. Ability to process specified instructions.
Ability to add, subtract in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Annual Base Salary:
GS-5 and GS-7: $40,332 - $109,952 per year
Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay annually.
This is a career ladder position with promotion potential up to GS-12. You will be eligible for promotion to the next higher grade after 52 weeks at each level, subject to agency discretion.
CBPOs receive comprehensive federal benefits including health, dental, vision, sick and annual leave, and retirement plans including a Thrift Savings Plan (similar to a Roth 401(k)).
Recruitment Incentives: For eligible locations, you may receive an additional 10-25% of salary for the first 3-4 years depending on the location. These incentives apply to new federal employees and are subject to funding.

GS-5: One of the following:
Experience: Three years of full-time general work experience demonstrating ability to interact with the public and apply information.
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Combination: A combination of general work experience and college education.
GS-7: One of the following:
