Day in the Life … The Clinical Specialist is responsible for primary clinical support in assisting sales representatives to develop new sales opportunities and accounts with physician and hospital accounts. The Senior Associate Counsel provides legal support for hospital information technology operations, including comprehensive legal and strategic guidance on the procurement, deployment, and governance of information technology systems (ISD) and artificial intelligence. This position reports to the Vice President, Senior Associate Counsel with a reporting matrix to the Chief Information Officer.
Responsibilities:
Advise hospital leadership and procurement teams on the legal implications of acquiring new technologies, such as electronic health records (EHR), telemedicine platforms, cybersecurity tools, and medical devices and the implementation of artificial intelligence tools.
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad array of information technology contracts-such as software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements, cloud hosting terms, data processing addenda, and business associate agreements. Identify and address legal risks in vendor offerings and technology solutions.
