Adhere strictly to the "five rights" of medication administration (Right Patient, Right Drug, Right Dose, Right Route, Right Time). Administer PRN (as-needed) medications as directed by a licensed nurse, ensuring prompt and accurate documentation of the reason and patient response. Ensure the proper security and storage of all medications, including controlled substances, and perform controlled substance counts as required. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medication preparation area and medication carts. Documentation, Observation, and Reporting Maintain detailed and accurate electronic and/or paper records of all medications administered on Medication Administration Records (MARs), noting dosage, time, and route. Immediately observe and report any signs of adverse reactions, side effects, or changes in a patient's physical or behavioral condition to a licensed nurse. Obtain, record, and report vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respiration) as required before, during, or after medication administration, or as directed by the nursing staff. Document a patient's refusal of medication. Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and all federal, state, and facility regulations. Supportive Patient Care Respond promptly to patient/resident calls and requests. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, often while performing concurrent duties as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., long-term care, assisted living, or hospital) is strongly preferred .
