The selected candidate will perform a variety of installations, repairs and preventative maintenance duties. They work on a variety of equipment and locations within the hospital and hospital properties including grounds maintenance. Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to make changes to Building Automation Systems, troubleshoot all boilers, record generator readings, and troubleshoot all chillers. Must be capable of repairing or replacing sheaths and mechanical seals associated with electrical motors. Must possess advanced level skills with HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equavalent required.
Limited/Unlimited license from the State of North Carolina in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing required.
Must be able to climb ladders
Must be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge of trades
Requires the physical ability to safely operate all equipment
Hours:
This is a full-time position normally working 8-hours a day, five days per week. Subject to callback at any time if needed. May be required to work long hours in emergency situations. May be required to work other hours for effective operation of the department as assigned and authorized by Director. Will be required to take call on a rotating basis with other Mechanics to provide 24 hours a day coverage and weekend coverage.

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, functioning work environment to allow our operations teams to focus on serving our customers. Essential Functions
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, relays, and more
Maintain positive working relationships across all the operations facility
Track and store department inventory
Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 8 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
Work Environment
Works full time with varying shifts, primary schedule may be between 10:00AM - 6:00PM. Occasional weekends as needed.

Cardiac Monitor Technicians are responsible for watching patients' heart rates and reporting important changes to the nursing staff; they often use equipment that tracks several patients simultaneously. They help clean and maintain equipment and ensure batteries are charged and installed properly. They may also perform electrocardiographs (EKGs), which read electrical impulses sent by the heart.
Monitors heart rhythm pattern of patients in special care unit of hospital to detect abnormal pattern variances, using telemetry equipment: Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances.
Observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm.
Informs supervisor or nurse, general duty of variances to initiate examination of patient.
Measures length and height of patient's heart rhythm pattern on graphic tape readout, using calipers, and posts information on patient records.
Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform minor and major repair of buildings and equipment.
Perform skilled and extensive maintenance work and repairs as needed.
Perform maintenance, repair, and installation work related to HVAC, refrigeration and electrical control systems at facilities.
Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test/start generator once a week and maintain equipment; inspect and maintain fire alarm system to include testing system, fire doors, audible alarms, visible alarms(lights) and smoke detectors and record data on appropriate forms as required by state or facility; check condition and readiness of extinguishers monthly; inspect and maintain lighting system throughout facility.
