Full-time Description
The Senior Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and performance. This role serves as a technical expert, provides guidance to junior technicians, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues
Act as escalation support for critical equipment failures and lead root cause analysis
Install, qualify, and support new equipment and upgrades
Develop, review, and improve maintenance procedures, SOPs, and work instructions
Mentor and train technicians and equipment operators
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and EHS teams
Monitor equipment performance and downtime; recommend reliability improvements
Manage spare parts, tooling, and maintenance documentation within CMMS
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Requirements
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience PLC, automation and/or electrical
Experience supporting automated or high-precision equipment preferred
Strong mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, or automation systems
Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Leadership and mentoring skills
Effective communication and teamwork
Ability to work independently and manage priorities

This full-time hourly position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor to support our customers with high quality, accurate and timely service and may occasionally require weekends, holidays and overtime.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Keep warehouse up to code by reviewing safety codes, layouts and security procedures.
• Coordinate and monitor orders, inbound/outbound loads and inventory discrepancies.
• Assist in hiring new employees as needed, to ensure warehouse team staffing levels.
• Plan and communicate shift objectives, monitor performance and address needs with team.
• Collaborate with all leads to forecast labor needs to control costs and contribute as an LTO.
• Coach, develop and ensure appropriate training of employees to manage performance.
• Conduct performance and annual reviews on all employees reporting to you.
• Assist with customer physical inventories/tours and offer continuous improvement.
• Learn and understand customers and step in when needed to perform those tasks.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.
• Effective skills in problem solving, planning, staffing, and executing warehouse operations.
• Ability to lead a diverse workforce; to effectively develop employees, and communicate objectives.
• Available during non-standard hours, access to a cell phone, and able to respond to after hour emergencies.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and technology equipment including WMS and (RF) Scanners.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years of previous leadership experience in operations.
• Minimum one year in an environment picking, packing into parent units, and building pallets for shipment.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse; and stand, climb, kneel, stoop and squat, as needed.
• Ability to turn steering wheel on lift truck requiring full rotation of arms and shoulders.
• Must be willing and able to safely lift up to 60 pounds, and slide, push, or pull cases up to 150 pounds.
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
