Role and Responsibilities
The Samsung Software Team for Xclipse GPU is responsible for the following areas: User Mode Driver (UMD) Development; Kernel Mode Driver (KMD) / System Software Development; Compiler Development; GPU Compute / Machine Learning on the Edge; Next-Gen GPU Software / Hardware codesign; Post-Silicon Performance Optimization / Workload analysis; Game Engine feature integration; and Software Validation and Automation.
As a Staff Engineer, you will use your broad expertise and unique knowledge to develop GPU IP from the early Architectural planning process until we productize and ship millions of devices to consumers. You will be responsible for becoming a domain expert in one or more project areas, and gaining knowledge and competencies for developing new features and debugging any customer issues related to your domain. you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and interns, and work with other departments for cross team-initiatives.
* You have advanced-level Software Development in C/C++/Python
* You will design and implement features for compiler targeting Samsung GPU architecture from OpenGL-ES and OpenCL applications.
* You will apply best practices using git, gerrit (code reviews), continuous integration
* You will debug compiler failures and performance issues using code and graphics debugging tools
* You will be working with the driver team to integrate compiler into driver infrastructure and determining compilation strategies for good performance and low power usage
* You will provide senior level documentation and communication using common project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, Chat, Email)
Skills and Qualifications
* 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable field, or 4+ years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 2+ years of experience with a Ph.D.
* 6+ years of experience in one of the following areas: register allocation, instruction scheduling, graphics-specific optimizations, SIMD relevant control flow and code placement optimizations, classic machine independent optimizations, preferably on low-level IRs
* 6+ years of experience in software engineering using C, C++, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
* 6+ years of object-oriented and component-based design experience
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional global teams and external partners.

The System Software team is part of SARC/ACL GPU Software Development organization, focused on designing and developing cutting-edge graphics hardware and drivers to deliver a world-class mobile graphics experience. As the first to bring Ray Tracing and console-quality graphics to the mobile platform, we collaborate closely with leading game engine providers to push boundaries, innovate across key differentiating areas of Samsung's power- and performance-optimized GPU IP, and redefine the mobile gaming experience for users worldwide.

Total Rewards
At Samsung - SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,000 and $226,600. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more. Position Summary
Join Samsung Austin Semiconductor as a Staff Engineer for the Industrial Water Treatment (IWT) team and play a pivotal role in a major plant transition. This position is centered on providing expert mentorship and technical guidance to the IWT engineering team as we take over operations of the Blue Sky Wastewater Treatment Plant from Epcor. Role and Responsibilities
Mentoring the IWT engineering team during the transition of the Blue Sky WWTP from Epcor to a Samsung led treatment plant.
Preparing the IWT engineering team for both start up and sustaining operations.
Possesses expert knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and systems including air handling, industrial chilled water, heating, process piping, pumps, pneumatics, fans, rotating equipment, vibration analysis, heat transfer, and psychrometrics
Provides guidance to personnel, management and executives on technical projects or large-scale changes
Maintains a technical focus on capacity management, problem solving, root cause analysis, engineering design, cost estimating, financial management, project management, and system documentation

Skills and Qualifications
15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or 13+ years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 11+ years of experience with a Ph.D.
10+ years of custom design tools and methodology development experience.
10+ years of experience with industry standard automated design tools for synthesis, place and route, EM/IR analysis, static timing analysis and/or physical verification.
10+ years of experience working with Cadence Innovus and/or Synopsys Fusion Compiler and reference flows.
Experience with PPA analysis across standard cell library, memory compiler, interconnect stack options and block-level PPA evaluation.
Strong knowledge of CMOS fundamentals, device physics, device-technology interactions, scaling trends, and design and implementation challenges at advanced technology nodes.
Experience working with batch run oriented environments for design space exploration and high throughput.
Experience working with foundries is a plus.
Experience in improving productivity, efficiency and/or quality of results through machine-learning (ML) practices is preferred.
Strong skills with scripting/programming languages like Tcl, Perl, Python.
Strong data analysis skills to analyze and deduce information from large data sets and apply the learnings to other scenarios.

Total Rewards
At Samsung - SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $180,200 and $270,400. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Position Summary
As a Mechanical Systems Project Manager for Samsung, you'll be responsible for code compliance, safety, and system performance for new construction, remodel construction, and sustaining operation of our existing facilities.
Role and Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project specs, schedules and safety standards. Project planning for mechanical systems related to new and retrofit construction, a strong focus on system knowledge, equipment installation, handover plan, and project closeout.
* Managing construction general contractor activities related to new and retrofit construction.
* Monitoring field installations for large engineering design and construction projects ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost adherence.
* Ensure code compliance with mechanical standards, building codes, plumbing codes, and environmental regulations throughout the construction life cycle. Ensure System performance for new construction, remodel construction, and sustaining operation evaluation of existing facilities.
* Identifying, tracking, managing, resolving, and communicating project issues during all phases of project-related work
* Leading strategic fab and support project planning for mechanical systems relate to new and retrofit construction.
* Develop, review, and approve site construction specifications related to mechanical piping, equipment, and the associated distribution rooms and buildings.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering Field
* 7+ years of project experience focused on HVAC, exhaust, plumbing, chilled water/heating hot water systems, compressed dry air generation and distribution in an industrial setting.
* Registered Professional Engineer in state of Texas or registered in another state with ability to transfer preferred.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.
The current base salary range for this role is between $81,490 and $133,455. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
