The Opportunity
We're looking for an innovative, self-starter to join the Samsung Ads Data Insights Team. This person will collaborate with teams across Samsung Ads to support our clients' reporting and insights needs leveraging the most comprehensive TV viewership data in the industry.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting Samsung Ads data insights and solutions for media & entertainment advertisers -Streaming TV apps, TV networks, Game publishers. This role will be client facing and the analyst will be expected to explain measurement methodology and results directly to Samsung Ads clients.

Become an expert with Samsung Ads data warehouse and internal tools to help Sales & Client Solutions answer key client questions.
Partner with stakeholders and other support groups to identify new analytical capabilities/solutions that will empower the sales and service organization
Collaborate with 3rd party data and measurement partners to deliver results to clients when applicable.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline preferred (Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Market Research)
5+ years relevant experience: media company, ad agency, market research firm, ad tech, etc. is preferred 3+ years in related analytics role with practical application of ad campaign performance reporting
Strong communication skills - ability to effectively present insights and analysis in front of clients, agencies, executives, and stakeholders Ability to translate between business and technical communities.
A high degree of analytical expertise is essential, along with the ability to communicate results for consumption of non-technical colleagues.
Experience working with large relational TV viewership databases and principles of ad campaign performance attribution, research design, treatment and control incrementality and AB testing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
15+ years of relevant experience. Prior experience in analytics/data required, experience in management consulting a plus.
Advanced technical degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field from a top-tier institution.
Strong publication record or contributions to academic or industry conferences in the field of data analytics or AI are preferable
Professional experience extracting insights from large, technical data sets, and communicating insights and recommendations to varied audiences, including high-level executives
Comfortable working in SQL and relational databases. Strong understanding of financial modeling and statistical analysis needed
Extensive experience conducting and communicating quantitative and qualitative financial analysis in layman's terms. Superior proficiency with complex financial modeling.

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA, is expected to be between $200,000 ~ $220,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.

About the Role
As an Inventory and Cost Accountant, you are responsible for supporting the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, preparing key inventory and costing reports, and contributing to the monthly financial close process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze stock trends, investigate discrepancies, and support the execution of inventory controls activities such as cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations. In addition, you will help maintain standard costs, assist with ERP updates and support audit and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with company policies and financial standards.
The position will collaborate with operational business leaders to support the growth and profit objectives for the North America region of the Lifestyle Consumer Audio business. The role also supports major corporate and global initiatives. The North America region is headquartered in Northridge, CA with annual revenues of over $1 Billion.
What You Will Do
* Monitor current stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and analyzing inventory data to understand trends and potential issues.
* Prepare inventory-related reports and dashboards, including inventory aging, turns, cycle count accuracy, excess/obsolete stock and reserves.
* Support the implementation of strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and reduce holding costs.
* Track and support execution of cycle counts, physical inventories, and related reconciliation activities.
* Monitor monthly inventory transactions and reconciling discrepancies between physical and system records by running sensitive movements reports in SAP.
* Identify root causes of inventory variances and work with operations and warehouse teams to implement corrective actions.
* Support the evaluation and enhancement of inventory control processes, including documentation and standard operating procedures.
* Maintain and update inventory standard cost in coordination with supply chain and global finance teams.
* Prepare reports and analysis related to inventory returns.
* Prepare refurbish vs. scrapping analysis and support related process improvements.
* Support ERP or inventory management system updates, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
* Prepare reconciliations and journal entries related to inventory and costing accounting.
* Support the monthly financial close process and assist the Finance Manager and team with accounting and audit deliverables.
What You Need to Be Successful
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
* 1-3 years of relevant finance experience with inventory and costing.
* Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling) required.
* Accounting skills, including experience with preparing reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical, written, verbal and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
* Experience with SAP.
* Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Consumer Products or related industries.
* Knowledge of visualization tools and dashboards.
