The Mentor Hub Facilitator is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the engineering program and its students by helping students develop a positive attitude, self-confidence, and motivation toward their academic work. Mentor Hub Facilitators serve as an extra layer of support for our Angelo State Engineering Scholars Program (ASES) recipients. Mentors act as bridge-builders, able to direct their mentees to resources both on and off campus, upperclassmen in their desired field, and provide insight into how to navigate the early stages of their college transition. Mentors do this formally, through individual, small group, and large group gatherings, as well as informally, as a trusted point-of-contact throughout the year. Job Duties and Expectations * Maintain engineering hub by assuring all students are checking in and out, stocking supplies, and keeping workplaces clean * Design and implement Hub programming that reflects the interests of engineering students and connects with the course curriculum.
