    Clinical Laboratory Scientists perform moderate and high complexity testing in one or more areas to include chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: See License and Certification requirements. Experience: One (1) year experience in a licensed acute care hospital is preferred. Knowledge and Skills: The scientist may or may not perform all the essential job functions, depending upon the level of experience. Employee must demonstrate age specific competencies for the specific work area in which the employee works and cares for patients. License and Certifications: Valid State of California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or valid State license as a Clinical Microbiology Scientist (MTE) (for Microbiology position only). Equipment: Proficient in the use of computerized systems and automated instrumentation.
