Reviews, and provides modification recommendations to construction plans, schematics, and as-built drawings.
Assists with the preparation of water/wastewater/sludge regulatory reports and permit applications required by the EPA and TCEQ.
Assists with the Asset Management program for all the River Authority owned plant assets, i.e. motors, machines, pumps, pipes, and fleet.
Work order database review (treatment, collections, maintenance) and root cause investigations.
Performs quality control checks for plant and collection system record drawings.
Tracks and collects data for all TCEQ permit excursions and submits reports as required by TCEQ.
Communicates with TCEQ on permit variances.
Assists with TCEQ Tier II reporting for all of the River Authority chemical storage that meets the regulate threshold.
Assists with Homeland Security contact information updating and reporting.
Monitors industrial customers' discharges.
Monitors terms and conditions of all permits and ensures compliance.
Monitors, tracks and reports to TCEQ consumption of the reuse discharge.
Monitors and compiles composting facility notebook for TCEQ inspections and annual report.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
A High School Diploma or G.E.D. with two (2) years progressively responsible experience in the operation, maintenance, and construction of sanitary sewer collection systems, Industrial Waste Inspections, Construction Inspections, and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations; or a combination of experience and education that results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is required.
Required Licenses or Certifications

Assists in the calibration of flow measuring meters.
Operates River Authority vehicles, tractors, power tools, gasoline mowers, and a variety of hand tools. Conducts daily maintenance checks of fluid levels.
Assists operators in monitoring and maintaining Ultraviolet systems.
Cleans water supply filters.
Keeps grounds clean by picking up trash and debris.
Responds to wastewater plant and contract plant emergencies.

Purpose:
Under general supervision, this position performs responsible and professional work by planning, developing, and implementing project efforts that utilize solutions for one or more small- to medium-sized or moderately complex projects. Austin Energy is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the IT Network LAN & Telecom team to provide support for all aspects of the telephone and unified communications services the team supports. The position's responsibilities include operational, hands-on support of all aspects of the unified communications infrastructure the team manages, including the configuration, installation, maintenance, patching, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of collaboration services infrastructure.
The engineer's duties include contributing to designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining a highly complex, secure, and reliable collaboration infrastructure, documenting and troubleshooting network components, and using experience to recommend new technologies and solutions. This position requires on-call rotation to support 24-hour utility operations and travel between local sites to survey in support of the integrated network solutions.

The primary duties of the position:
Ensure compliance with all security policies, procedures, and standards to regulatory standards.
