GENERAL PURPOSE\:
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company best practice standards as outlined in all work centers, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. Expedites newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a sense of urgency, merchandising all items per company best practice to the monthly presentation guidelines and maintaining merchandise/brand name familiarity within departments to assist Customers.
Understands the Loss Prevention Awareness program, the Shortage Highway, the Store Protection Specialist (SPS) position (where applicable), and merchandise protection standards.
As a representative of Ross Inc., demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with Associates and Customers. Safeguards confidential information, cash and credit card information, and merchandise.
Follows all Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) policies, including the identification of MOS merchandise, proper processing of each piece and the notification of Store Leadership to review and approve all disposals.
Follows all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card and refund transactions, voids and offline procedures. Maintains a high level of awareness and accuracy when handling bankable tenders.

THE DEPARTMENT The Alameda County Probation Department is an essential element of the County's system of public protection and human services. THE POSITION Under close supervision, learns the principles and techniques of youth group work; assists in the supervision of a group of youth detained in Juvenile Hall or other Probation Department facilities; and, performs related work as required. Positions in this class work primarily at Juvenile Hall but may work in one of several Probation Department facilities as assigned by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EITHER I Experience: The equivalent of six months full time experience as a Juvenile Institutional Officer Intermittent in the Alameda County classified service. OR II Experience: The equivalent of one year of full time experience involving the organization, direction, or supervision of youth groups in correctional counseling, or in a recreational or correctional setting. OR III Education: A minimum of ten college or university level courses which may be expected to provide knowledge and skills required for this position. These courses must be equal to or greater than 30 semester units or 45 quarter units successfully completed. Coursework in the field of social sciences is highly desirable. License: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license. May be required to obtain a Class 'B' driver's license. A good driving record according to DMV negligent operator guidelines and qualifications for automotive insurance. Special Requirements: Persons appointed to positions in this class in the Probation Department must meet the minimum standards for Peace Officer Section 1031 Government Code. THE AGENCY The primary mandated services of the Assessor's Office include: locate and identify the ownership of all taxable property in Alameda County; determine the taxability of all property; determine the re-appraisability of property changing ownership or having new construction added; annually assess all real estate in accordance with the provisions of Article XIIIA of the State Constitution (Proposition 13); annually assess all taxable personal property at its fair market value; determine and apply all legal exemptions against these assessments; and surrender an accurate assessment roll to the Auditor's Office prior to July 1st each year. The Assessor's Office mission is to provide timely and accurate appraisal services in a manner resulting in fair and equitable treatment for all Alameda County taxpayers. The Monterey County Water Resources Agency (MCWRA) is recruiting for the position of Water Resources Engineer.
Agency Summary
Prior to its formal establishment in 1991, the Monterey County Water Resources Agency (MCWRA) was the Monterey County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, established in 1947 and organized as a division of the Public Works Department of Monterey County. MCWRA provides services related to the control of flood and storm waters in Monterey County, conservation, protection of water quality, reclamation of water, and the exchange of water. Fundamental to the agency's mission to sustainably manage water resources while minimizing impacts from flooding, MCWRA owns and operates two dams on principal tributaries to the Salinas River (Nacimiento and San Antonio), along with the associated reservoirs. The Agency also owns a recycled water irrigation distribution system for agricultural users in the farmland surrounding Castroville, CA. A handful of other water conveyance and diversion facilities are also under the Agency's management.
The Agency's primary objective is to manage water resources throughout the County with a concentration in the Salinas Valley. The Agency collaborates and works with many other public agencies such as the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency, Monterey One Water, and other local, state and federal agencies.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the Water Resources Engineer position in the Operations Section will have a strong background in construction, repair, and maintenance of various water resource-related facilities such as reservoirs, ponds, pipelines, valves, pump stations, groundwater wells, culverts, and earthen dams, and channels. This position will be primarily working on the Water Resources Agency Water Recycling Projects that include the Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project and the Salinas River Diversion Facility. Experience working on Recycled Water Projects or other pipeline distribution systems is desired but not required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, flexibility, and adaptability, navigating complex situations with professionalism and poise. They will be able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and remain organized to complete multiple projects concurrently. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in both an office setting and, more importantly, being outdoors doing field work for inspections, system monitoring, construction projects and repair oversight, or minor surveying work. Basic Functions

DESCRIPTION
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT THE ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT (ACFD) provides all-risk emergency services to the unincorporated areas of Alameda County (excluding Fairview), the cities of San Leandro, Dublin, Newark, Union City and Emeryville, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. With 28 fire stations and 34 companies serving a population of 394,000, the ACFD serves densely populated urban areas, waterways, industrialized centers, extensive urban interface, agricultural and wildland regions. Over 400 personnel and 100 Reserve Firefighters provide a wide variety of services to an ever expanding, dynamic and diverse community of roughly 508 square miles. These services include: Advanced Life Support Fire Suppression Hazardous Materials Response Urban Search & Rescue Water Rescue Community Outreach & Education Disaster Preparedness Fire Prevention and Code Compliance Regional Dispatch The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) was formed on July 1, 1993, as a dependent special district with the Alameda County Board of Supervisors as its governing body. This consolidation brought together into a single jurisdiction the Castro Valley Fire Department, Eden Consolidated Fire Protection District and County Fire Patrol. Subsequently, the following communities have contracted with the ACFD: July 1, 1995 City of San Leandro July 1, 1997 City of Dublin August 1, 2002 Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory October 1, 2007 Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory May 1, 2010 City of Newark July 1, 2010 City of Union City July 1, 2012 City of Emeryville On January 20, 2008, the ACFD became responsible for the administration and operation of the Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center (ACRECC). The dispatch center provides dispatch and regional communication center services for the ACFD, the Alameda County Emergency Medical Services Agency, Camp Parks Combat Support Training Center, and the cities of Alameda, Fremont, Livermore and Pleasanton. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree or the completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units. AND EITHER I: Experience: Current appointment as a Battalion Chief in the Alameda County Fire Department. OR II: Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Captain in the Alameda County Fire Department with the following prerequisite training courses, completed by date of appointment: Command 2A Command 2B Command 2C Command 2D Command 2E Management 2A Management 2B Management 2C Management 2D Management 2E ICS400 OR: Chief Fire Officer 3A: Human Resources Management Chief Fire Officer 3B: Budget and Fiscal Responsibilities Chief Fire Officer 3C: General Administration Functions Chief Fire Officer 3D: Emergency Service Delivery Responsibilities ICS300 OR: CSFM Chief Officer Certification OR III: Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Fire Science, Fire Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field. AND Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a California public fire protection agency at the rank of Battalion Chief or higher-level classification. License: Must be in possession of at least a valid California Class C driver's license. Special Requirement: Incumbent is subject to emergency re-call when off duty and serves as Duty Chief as assigned. EXAMINATION COMPONENTS
THE EXAMINATION WILL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS: A review of candidates' applications and supplemental questionnaires to verify possession of minimum requirements. Those candidates who possess the minimum requirements for the class will move on to the next step in the examination process. An assessment center which will be weighted as 100% of the candidate's final examination score and may consist of: i. A structured interview to assess background, knowledge, and experience, weighted at 25% of the candidate's final score; ii. A simulation exercise, to assess incident command skills, weighted at 25% of the candidate's final score; iii. A written exercise to assess administrative, managerial, and written communication skills, weighted at 25% of the candidate's final score.iv. The Riverside County Information Technology, Network Operations Unit is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Network Operations Engineer to join their team in Riverside. Please note that Network Operations Engineer is a working title for the classification of IT Communications Analyst III.
The Network Operations Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of the organization's enterprise and public safety network infrastructure. This position is responsible for monitoring network performance, measuring resource availability and capacity on a scheduled basis, and responding to and resolving network issues through root cause analysis and resolution tracking. In the event of a network outage, the engineer provides diagnosis across layer 1 to layer 3, initiates corrective actions, and communicates updates to stakeholders and customers as needed.
Key responsibilities also include the configuration, installation, and maintenance of enterprise-grade hardware, including Cisco routers and switches, Aruba switches and wireless access points, Ciena routers, Clearpass, CradlePoint cellular routers, Fortinet Firewalls and Palo Alto firewalls.
