Physical Agility Exam Information:
This examination will be held at the Butte County Public Safety Training Center located at 1222 Openshaw Road, Oroville, CA 95965 at 8:00 a.m. This examination consists of the following tasks that MUST be completed within the amount of time specified. Failing any one of the 5 tasks will result in failure for the entire physical agility exam. Each task will be performed separately one person at a time except for the 500 yard run which will be performed in a group. Listed below is a description of the physical agility tasks.
* Solid Wall Obstacle - Five (5) yard run to a six (6) foot high obstacle, and over the obstacle to a twenty-five (25) yard run to the finish. Must finish within 16.6 seconds.
* Chain Link Fence Obstacle - Five (5) yard run to six (6) foot high obstacle, and over the obstacle to a twenty-five (25) yard run to the finish. Must finish within 14.6 seconds.
* Ninety-nine (99) Yard Obstacle Run - Run around a marked course with several angles and then lift yourself over the three (3) foot high hurdle at the end of the run. Must finish within 33.8 seconds.
* Dummy Drag - Drag a dummy weighing approximately 175 pounds across cement for a distance of thirty (30) feet. Must finish within 9.6 seconds.
* Five hundred (500) yard Run - Run around the track five hundred (500) yards. Must finish within 178 seconds.
PelletB Written Exam Information:
The written exam will be held just after the physical agility exam. This exam will be held at Butte County Public Safety Training Center located at 1222 Openshaw Road, Oroville, CA 95965. To prepare for the examination, applicants may visit the POST website for a practice exam. DEFINITION

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
Deputy Sheriff Trainee is an entry-level class into the County law enforcement series. APPOINTMENT DATE AND ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The need for part-time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term begins in the late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term runs from the middle of January through the end of May. On rare occasions part-time faculty are needed during one of the Summer Session segments.
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Regular performance evaluations of part-time lecturers are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. These performance evaluations determine which lecturers will be retained for future and continued teaching assignments. And in some instances, syllabi, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
APPOINTMENT AND SALARY
All part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month
The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a three-unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.

Do you want to learn field biology skills as well as how to resolve human-wildlife conflicts? The Department of Fish and Wildlife's Northern Region is seeking a motivated individual to assist with the state's growing Gray Wolf conservation program.
This position entails assisting the state wolf biologists in determining the distribution and abundance of Gray Wolves in northern California and with efforts to prevent Gray Wolf conflicts with livestock production. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working independently and as part of a small team, driving 4-wheel drive and/or all-terrain vehicles, setting up and monitoring trail cameras, surveying for Gray Wolf tracks, scats and other sign, and deploying non-lethal deterrents measures to prevent Gray Wolf conflicts with livestock.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist with ground-based surveys to document the distribution and abundance of Gray Wolves, including camera traps, hand-held telemetry, and survey for tracks, scat and other sign.
Assist staff biologists with Gray Wolf capture and telemetry collaring efforts.
Collect, manage and summarize field data, including camera trap videos and biological samples.
Assist with investigations of Gray Wolf sightings and depredations.
Assist with the deployment of non-lethal measures to deter Gray Wolves from livestock areas.

Working Conditions

Position requires ability to lift 40 pounds, as well as physical strength and agility to hike with a backpack and/or other gear and to build and remove temporary fencing. The position may require irregular work hours including weekends and holidays. Extensive overnight travel and camping in remote areas is required. This position regularly requires the use of a computer for several hours at a time in the office. Periods of sitting, standing, and walking in the office are required. Use of a state-owned vehicle for travel is required between remote facilities and field sites where public transportation is not readily available. The annual salary for the Public Safety Radio Dispatcher Trainee classification is $102,260.07 per year. This includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay and a (3.75%) Public Safety Radio Dispatcher Certification Pay.
Upon successful completion of training, Public Safety Radio Dispatcher Trainees are eligible for promotion to the Public Safety Radio Dispatcher classification. The salary range for the Public Safety Radio Dispatcher classification is currently $109,443.99 - $133,053.03 annually. This includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay and a (3.75%) Public Safety Radio Dispatcher Certification Pay.
The SJFD is accepting applications for the position of Public Safety Radio Dispatcher Trainee. This is the entry-level training classification for a career in public safety dispatching within the City of San José. As a Public Safety Radio Dispatcher Trainee, you are provided with formal training, both in the classroom and in the Communications Center, to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the full range of public safety dispatching functions. Trainees must successfully complete all formal academic and on-the-job training to be appointed to the class of Public Safety Radio Dispatcher and retain their employment.
Duties of the Public Safety Radio Dispatcher include answering emergency and non-emergency telephone calls, complying with medical and fire call taking and dispatching policies and protocols, obtaining information from callers, providing emergency instructions over the telephone, entering data into the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, dispatching fire and emergency medical personnel and equipment, providing telecommunications systems support, and performing other related work as assigned.
The Public Safety Radio Dispatcher Trainee Training Program includes Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) and Emergency Fire Dispatch (EFD) protocol training. The EMD and EFD certification is a condition of employment. If an employee fails to maintain San José Fire Department protocol compliance standards, the employee is subject to discipline up to and including termination.
These positions may require working weekends, holidays and/or assignments including swing, midnight, or other nonstandard shifts. Shifts are currently an 8-hour schedule during training (five days a week). Shift schedules may change based on the needs of the Department, and may include an alternate 9-hour schedule (every other set of days off includes three days off). You must be available to work the shift schedule assigned to you by the Department. There is a shift differential payment of $2.25/hour for swing shift and $2.50/hour for midnight shifts.
Mandatory overtime will be required during critical incidents or to maintain staffing levels.

PERSONAL HISTORY QUESTIONNAIRE (PHQ): The most qualified applicants for Public Safety Dispatcher Trainee will be invited to complete an online pass/fail PHQ screening. The PHQ screening is designed to identify applicants who meet the Fire Department's hiring standards. The PHQ screening will consist of approximately 180 questions. The questionnaire will ask applicants to self-report behavior that has been determined to relate directly to job suitability.
Applicants should be prepared to provide detailed information of their personal history in the following nine categories: education, employment, driving history, military experience, substance use, financial history, legal history, fire, public safety and/or emergency medical experience, and other general information.
INFORMATION SESSION: The Information Session provides applicants with more details regarding the day-to-day duties of the position(s) and an overall understanding of the hiring and training process. Candidates will also have an opportunity to ask questions of current dispatch personnel.
COMPUTER PRACTICAL EXAM (CritiCall): Candidates will be invited to take a computerized practical exam. Transportation Team Description

This is an unpaid Volunteer/Intern position for Active Duty Service members participating in the SkillBridge program prior to completion of military service. Internship is limited to 180 days, however amount of days will be based on unit command approval. Must be available to work 40 hour per week, schedule will be four, 10 hour shifts. As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered around recycling, compost, and organics management, technical assistance to businesses, solid waste legislation and policy implementation, and sustainability projects. You will typically work 40 hours per week.
