These positions will focus exclusively on the map check effort, reviewing and certifying maps to address the current backlog while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment Status: This position is extra-help, and incumbent does not attain status as regular County employee. Although this position is of limited duration and temporary in nature, assignments may be up to twelve (12) months. Travel: Travel throughout the County is required. A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at the time of appointment.
Physical: Frequent sitting, occasional walking, standing, bending, and squatting. Requires fine manipulation in both hands. Continuously required to reach above and below shoulder level. Must frequently demonstrate near vision and occasionally demonstrate far vision. Occasionally required to lift and carry 10 pounds or less.

The Regional Parks Department manages and maintains nine (9) Regional Parks throughout San Bernardino County totaling approximately 8,000 acres with one (1) Preserve and one (1) Regional Trail. Each park offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities in settings that range from metro, mountain and desert scenery. Among the activities that can be found in our Regional Parks are: Lakes for fishing, sheltered group picnic facilities accommodating up to 350 people, swim complexes with water slides, zero depth water play parks, and playgrounds. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Availability: Must be available to work varied schedules, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Positions are part-time (0-30 hours/week). Assignments and schedules are made based on the needs of the Parks Department. These are seasonal positions working a varied schedule throughout the year based on peak tour seasons.
Public Service Employees: These are recurrent, non-regular positions classified as a Public Service Employee (PSE). The successful candidate shall be considered at-will throughout the term of their employment, and will not attain regular status.

The Deputy Sheriff has the responsibility of maintaining law and order within the County by performing law enforcement activities in a variety of assignments: patrol, investigations, court security and civil.
Patrol: Patrol assigned areas; answer calls for protection of life and property and the enforcement of County and State laws; conduct preliminary and follow-up investigations of criminal incidents; direct traffic and detain drivers who are operating vehicles in violation of laws; issue citations and make arrests as necessary.
Investigations: Investigate major crimes against property and persons; conduct extensive follow-up investigation at the scene of crimes and accidents; gather evidence; conduct surveillance; locate and question witnesses; take statements from witnesses; present information to the District Attorney's office for filing of charges; appear in court as directed.
Court Security: Maintain safety and security for all personnel in the courtroom; serve as bailiff in the courtroom; transfer inmates to and from the courts and correctional facilities; search individuals entering the courtroom when necessary; monitor all courtroom activities to anticipate any safety concerns; assist other courtroom personnel and jurors in ensuring smooth operation of the courtroom.
Civil: Serve legal papers such as subpoenas, summons, complaints and writs of attachment, executions and restitution; serve warrants and make arrests; prepare, process and maintain necessary files, documents and reports; perform other work related to the processing of misdemeanor and felony complaints.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Experience:
One year of professional experience in law enforcement work. Further defined as continuous professional experience as a paid, full-time Peace Officer in California.
Qualified Out-of-State Lateral Applicants are defined as lateral applicants who lack the CA POST Certificate. These laterals may apply, however proof of enrollment in the CA POST Basic Requalification Course must be submitted at time of application. Education:
Equivalent to completion of high school. Equivalent to completion of two years of college is highly desired.
Certificate:
Possession of a valid Basic Certificate issued by the California Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission.
The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training requires that each individual who has previously completed a POST-certified basic course, or has previously been deemed to have completed equivalent training, AND the individual has been awarded a POST certificate but has a three-year or longer break in service as a peace officer, must be retrained or complete the basic course waiver process (PAM Section D-11), unless such retraining or examination is waived by the Commission.
License*:
Possession of a valid California Driver's License.

THE POSITION
The Recreation Coordinator I, under general direction of the Recreation Supervisor, will perform the duties of a Production Manager for the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District's Theatre Arts program. Job Summary:

Essential Functions
Typical duties of a Part-time Official Court Reporter may include, but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications

The Registered Dietitian is a member of the Nutrition Services team within the County Health Department. Examples of Duties
PUBLIC HEATH NUTRITION PROGRAM SPECIALTY
Determines participants' eligibility for WIC program service by reviewing applications, nutrition questionnaires, and medical documents; and explains ineligibility to participants.
Enrolls and recertifies WIC participants; documents income and address verification, medical information, and health questions.
Provides individual and group nutrition and breastfeeding education to WIC participants and provides referrals to the community resources and documents appropriately.
Provides medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to Health Care Center patients.
Nutritionists may supervise daily operation at the WIC site in the absence of the Nutrition Site Supervisor.
The Registered Dietitian may assist with staff training and outreach.
Employment Standards
Possession of a bachelor's OR master's degree from a CADE-accredited college/university; AND completion of 1200 hours of supervised practice in a CADE-accredited Dietetic Internship Program.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be R.D. eligible upon appointment and must obtain a dietitian registration from the American Dietetic Association within one year of appointment as a condition of continued employment. Note: the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics /education (CADE) is the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association.
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License may be required at the time of appointment.
Incumbents must be willing to travel to various clinic sites, and may be required to work evenings and weekends.

Employment Standards
Student Eligibility:
In order to qualify for the Student Intern classifications, a student must:
Have a legal right to work in the United States;
Be enrolled in an accredited institution or a school licensed by a state agency or have graduated from such an institution or school within the last six months;
Have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5 on a four-point scale;
Submit a completed application for employment, unofficial transcript, and proof of enrollment or course schedule for the current school session.
Verification and Audit Procedures:
Prior to hiring a student or recent graduate into one of the intern classifications, departments need to verify both the student's status with the school and enrollment in a defined program of study that is aligned with the intern position that the student will fill.
Departmental use of these classifications will be subject to audit by ESA Human Resources to ensure that they are being used for the defined purposes of introducing the County to students as a potential employer and providing practical work experience to local students.
The recent graduate category will be monitored to ensure that no one is working as an intern longer than six months following graduation.
Hours per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) are limited to 1,040. Work can be performed full-time during the summer and/or part-time during the school year, with the proposed work schedule approved by the Agency.
For non-521 Student Interns, each hour of work counts toward the non-521 extra help County-wide cap. For a Student Intern-521, each hour of work will be counted at half the rate of the County's total 521 extra-help cap.
