The College began in the fall of 1970, under the sponsorship of Scott Memorial Baptist Church, and was founded by Doctor Tim LaHaye, Doctor Art Peters, and Doctor Henry Morris.
The first degrees were awarded in 1973.
As the College continued to grow at the Scott Memorial Baptist Church (now Shadow Mountain Community Church) in El Cajon, CA. Doctor David Jeremiah became Senior Pastor in 1981.
Doctor Kevin Corsini was appointed as President in September 2019.
