ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The development, implementation, and evaluation of an integrated treatment approach for youth experiencing homelessness and quality trauma informed youth programs that adhere to and uphold the rigorous standards of San Diego Youth Services as mandated by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality.
Complete assessment, goal setting and individualized service strategy (ISS) development phase of the program. The ISS will identify the timeframe in which participants are expected to reach their goals and outcomes, at least one of which must be linked to a WIOA performance outcome.
Facilitate access to BEST Basic and Essential Skills Training sessions for participants.
Work with participants individually to help them research education and training options.
Refer youth to courses at career centers.
Support Program Manager in assessing youth on their; academic levels, basic skills levels, occupational skills, prior work experience, employability, interests and aptitudes, areas of strength and development.
Work with participants to develop their career vision and identify short and long-term education and/or employment goals that represent key milestones that the participant is committed to achieving and which represent meaningful and measurable progress goals.
Provide referrals to programs and resources that are aligned with their specific needs and circumstances, and which would prepare the youth for future program participation.
Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate documentation including data entry into approved database.
Manage recruitment, placement and engagement of participants throughout their duration in the project and provide follow-up support for 12 months after exit. The CN will have weekly contact with participants on their caseload.
Prepare and submit required reports.
Transport participants when necessary.
Work independently and as a team member to create innovative ways to meet goals and provide a high level of service that is engaging and meets the needs of the participants.
Participate in and attend all staff meetings, SDYS staff development events and appropriate agency-wide committees, and San Diego Workforce Partnership trainings and collaboratives.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with two years equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience working within the workforce development sector, preferably with at-risk youth and within a WIOA funded project.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma-informed and dual diagnosis programs preferred.
Able to work in a very diverse setting with people of all backgrounds, culture and orientation.
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities, training skills, creativity, and public speaking.
Ability to provide quality trauma-informed services in a fast-paced environment, specializing in crisis intervention and de-escalation, motivational interviewing, and Seeking Safety. Ability to (re) prioritize and multi-task is a must.
Able to be cleared to drive and have valid driver's license with own transportation (mileage reimbursed). Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.
Employment is subject to required clearances which include tuberculosis test, fingerprinting, background checks, and drug testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 20lb and operate a vehicle.

CONTEXT OF THE POSITION
Accountable to Director of Services, this full time, exempt position will oversee the provision of comprehensive quality trauma-informed Specialty Mental Health Services and managing the “ICARE” Clinic and Drop-in Center staff. Responsible for program development and implementation, budget monitoring, overall daily functioning and quality control of services including and not limited to, monitoring county wide referral process, intake assessment and service plans, provide trainings to community partners on Human Trafficking (HT)/ Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC), development and adherence to the Assertive Outreach approach and use of evidence-based practices such as TF-CBT, MI, DBT and Seeking Safety. Ensure overall program is adherent to the San Diego County Children, Youth and Families Behavioral Health Services' Medi-Cal requirements.
Essential functions include:
Provide personnel management to include the hiring, training, supervision, agency goals, and evaluation of core staff, interns and volunteers.
Coordinate and maintain statistical systems for funding source, contract compliance and agency goals accountability to support providing necessary timely reports and statistics/information to funding sources as required as well as agency fiscal department.
Monitor program progress in achieving Statement of Work goals and objectives including and not limited to trauma informed service delivery, productivity and outcome measurements.
In conjunction with the Quality Management Team (QM) ensure that all records meet the current San Diego County documentation standards, billing timelines, Utilization Management process and files are maintained.
Participate in weekly Treatment Team, Clinical Supervision, and all mandated county training, meetings and ensure that staff do the same.
Must maintain good working knowledge of SDYS Policy and Procedure Manual and San Diego County's Outpatient Services Policy and Procedures Manuals and ensure that staff do the same.
Assist in management of contract budget line items related to components that includes monitoring of expenses and processing of appropriate expenditure forms.
Establish and maintain linkage relationships with agencies, organizations, civic and community groups by participating in community collaboratives such as CSEC Steering Committee, HT advisory or other meetings, to collaborate and/or provide trainings on CSEC and Human Trafficking.
Respond to service partners during a crisis or urgent matter, including those that occur outside of normal business operating hours, by implementing and following the on-call procedures whenever the rotation of on-call falls into the scope of responsibilities for the assigned period.
Perform other Duties as assigned or required.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed as a Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC by the state of California with a minimum of three years of job-related experience, including direct mental health service experience working with at-risk children and adolescents, and their families.
Experience in counseling youth and families providing assessment, crisis intervention and education required.
Have an understanding and value the Youth and Family Partnership models.
Training in or willing to be trained in MI, Seeking Safety, TF-CBT and Family Systems Theory
Knowledge of case coordination and collaboration with multiple agencies and public entities a must. Familiarity with the Children, Youth and Family Health System of Care and Full-Service Partnership requirements.
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities, creativity, and public speaking preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Familiarity with County Electronic Health Record (SmartCare), Preferred.
Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma-informed and dual diagnosis programs preferred. Must show a willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Must have reliable vehicle, relevant auto insurance, a clean driving record, valid CA driver's license and willing to drive vehicle for job related tasks.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Executive Planning & Project Management (SDEPM) has an important role in the core executive functions of The Center and the execution of its mission and Strategic Plan. The SDEPM reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and works closely with the Senior Team to manage and plan for executive projects; this position is also a member of the Leadership Team, comprised of The Center's Senior Directors.
Currently reporting to an 11-member Board of Directors, The Center's CEO is responsible for managing an annual budget of $17 million and leading the organization's staff of over 100 employees. The SDEPM serves as the liaison to the Board of Directors, working with the Board and CEO in their partnership to annually review and refine the organization's long- and short-term strategic goals, to and to cultivate an engaged, effective, and strategically aligned Board of Directors. This role helps ensure the highest standards of governance practice and organizational leadership by facilitating communication between the CEO, Board Chair, and Committees, and senior staff, and by supporting the implementation of Board-driven priorities and initiatives. The position requires discretion, judgment, and an understanding of governance, development, and organizational strategy.
This role also involves working closely with the CEO and Deputy CEO to ensure that all executive priorities are successful and cohesive with each other and with The Center's strategic plan. To accomplish this, the SDEPM supports the work of the Board of Directors and facilitates cross-department collaboration and alignment. The SDEPM is responsible for the development, tracking, and execution of critical executive projects as defined by the CEO, while partnering with other Senior Team and Leadership Team members to maintain clear and effective communication to the Senior Team and across the organization. The SDEPM directs the Executive Assistant in managing the CEO's calendar, ensuring its alignment with executive priorities.
PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Program/Impact Area Management, Implementation, and Outcomes
Executive Priorities and Project Management
Direct special projects and executive priorities as assigned, including Board and Board Committee priorities, projects that involve multiple departments and staff members, or are otherwise unassigned to a Center department. Partner with the CEO and DCEO to help support and connect executive priorities; design project plans or procedures to ensure progress toward assigned priorities and evaluate their implementation.
Proactively identify and find solutions to barriers to success for assigned projects. Regularly communicate with leadership about project prioritization, status, and updates of assigned projects; ensure the right leaders are included under The Center's MOCHA project management tool.
Manage tools that evaluate progress toward the organizational strategic plan and annual CEO goals.
In partnership with the Executive Assistant, ensure that the CEO's calendar is reflective of current priorities, adjusting as priorities shift.
In partnership with the Executive Assistant, organize quarterly Senior Team retreats, including preparation of agendas and briefing materials.
The SDEPM is responsible for all functions of the Executive Assistant, particularly, CEO calendar management, in the event of absence or vacancy.
Facilitator of the Senior Team
With the DCEO, organize quarterly Senior Team retreats, including preparation of agendas, briefing materials, and ensuring follow-up actions are resolved.
Liaison to the Board of Directors/Board Management
Partner with the CEO to strengthen the Board's leadership capacity, composition, and deep engagement in alignment with the mission, CEO priorities, and organization-wide strategic goals.
Partner with the CEO and Board Chair/Co-chairs to plan the work of the Board over the fiscal year to accomplish the Board governance calendar and support the ongoing evolution of the Board, incorporating established Board priorities, emerging community issues, and The Center's strategic goals.
For projects and action items in the Board governance calendar/Board priorities, manage Board/Committee/Board task force/relevant staff team's progress toward goals along established timelines.
Manage recruitment and onboarding process for prospective Board candidates/new Board members.
Partner with the CEO, Chair/Co-chairs, and Committee Chairs to plan meeting agendas and presentations that allow for effective, productive, and engaging meetings.
Manage the Board's administrative and logistical matters, including the successful execution of all Board and committee meetings and annual retreats; manage all Board records and materials requiring Board review or action. Manage and track all Board votes and resulting action items or records, and ensure sufficient notice for Board action.
Collect and distribute monthly reporting on progress toward Strategic Plan goals to the Board of Directors; ensure Board review of financial reports and other progress reports as needed.
Team Development & Mentorship
The SDEPM implements The Center's management framework (The Management Center) in supervision of the Executive Assistant and in management of cross-department project teams.
Fiscal/Budget Management
Responsible for development of the budget for the CEO's office (including Board expenses) and monitoring the Board expense budget line and expenses relating to the CEO's office in the Management and Development cost centers.
Support the annual budget development process by organizing the schedule of the CEO, Senior Team, Finance Committee, and Board members' review; provide other administrative support as needed.
Leadership Team Member
The SDEPM is responsible for organizing the monthly Leadership Team meeting, including preparation of agendas, trainings, and briefing materials in support of the annual leadership training goals and vision for the Leadership Team.
The SDEPM is a member of the Leadership Team and shares responsibility of building a cohesive and positive Center culture and the next generation of Center leaders; this includes mentoring staff, providing historical information, connecting leaders with resources, and rotating responsibility of the All-Staff meeting and Managers & Directors meetings with the other Senior Directors.
Responsible for maintenance of the Organizational Calendar for Senior/Leadership Teams and ensuring calendared priorities are addressed in Senior/Leadership Team meetings.
The SDEPM will step in to help provide leadership support when the organization is experiencing significant staffing gaps or responding to a crisis.
This position, along with the other Senior Directors, is responsible for disseminating information from the Senior Team to their staff teams and raising questions or concerns to the Senior Team's awareness. The SDEPM serves as a conduit between the Senior Team and the Leadership Team, in between meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Several years of experience providing administrative support to C-level executives. Several years of experience with project management. Prior experience working in the LGBT and HIV communities, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Professional Skills: Basic familiarity with nonprofit budgets/some financial literacy. Strong research and analytical skills. Ability to lead projects or system flows involving multiple teams/stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community groups.
Technology Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Language Skills: Fluency in English.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $95,000 - $100,000 and is commensurate with experience. This is a Full-Time Regular, Exempt position.

What You'll Do:
In the Resident Behavior Health Aide role, you'll be responsible for providing a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric care to patients who have been discharged from Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Managed Health Plans, Palomar Hospital and Tri-City Hospital, to achieve a more adaptive level of physical, psychological and social functioning while in the program. Working within a comprehensive team of skilled professionals the Resident Behavioral Health Aide engages with the recuperative care team to get the patient back to self-sufficiency. This position is also responsible for the safe and timely transportation of clients to and from various appointments and ensuring facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
Provides behavioral services to patients under the general supervision of registered nurses and other qualified personnel
Observes and assesses patients' physical condition, behavior and responses to treatment and reporting any significant changes to the appropriate supervisor and other appropriate staff members
Performs tasks that are within the scope of his/her education preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of the Recuperative Care Program
Assists with the coordination of services, including planning, monitoring, documenting and conducting evaluations of services to patients

Job Summary:

What You'll Do:
In the Transportation Specialist role, you'll be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for clients enrolled in one or more of Interfaith's Programs. Working closely with the program management, this position ensures that clients are transported to and from medical appointments, community services, and other program-related destinations in a manner that supports their well-being and recovery.

Job Summary:
BWC's Youth Impact Partnership (YIP) is composed of current and former youth clients with lived experience of homelessness, foster care, or other systems who are interested in advocacy, leadership, and being the voice and representation of their peers within the agency and the community. The Youth Council Advisor coordinates all YIP activities, identifies and guides the advocacy efforts of YIP and serves as a mentor for YIP members.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist and facilitate YIP in planning meetings and events.
Attend all YIP meetings and events.
Work closely with the YIP executive committee and have weekly check ins with YIP executive committee members.
Have one-on-one check ins with YIP members, as needed.
Create and/or identify opportunities for YIP members to develop professional skills.
Coordinate youth participation in panels, workshops, and speaking engagements at relevant community events.
Support youth engagement in local, state and federal government initiatives, policy discussions and community planning.
Mentorship and development - support youth members in developing leadership skills, decision making and communication skills.
Collaborate with staff and managers across the agency to provide opportunities for YIP members to have voice and engagement.
Track program budget in collaboration with the supervisor.
Submit all required program reports.
Document youth partnership activities, including schedule tracking and processing of hours for youth stipend payments.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent or life experience related to clients served. Experience working with homeless and culturally diverse youth. Knowledge of Transitional Age Youth mental health issues and needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Driving is a requirement of the job. Must have possession of current driver's license, access to a vehicle and personal automobile insurance. Current CPR and First Aid Certification required (or complete within 30 days of hire). Fingerprinting/background check as required by the Department of Justice and/or Title XXII regulations. TB test required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Adult Housing Services Manager is responsible for oversight of The Center's expanding LGBTQ-affirming wrap-around and support services to adults who are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. The Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the program's activities, providing direction to staff to ensure that program services and processes meet client needs and contract expectations. The manager champions a collaborative approach to service delivery that is trauma-informed and goal-oriented to resolve the housing instability of program participants. The position reports directly to the Director of Adult Housing Services and provides direct supervision to 3-4 staff members.
PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND OVERSIGHT:
Provides direct supervision and support to program staff.
Oversee and support the implementation of program activities.
Collaborates with the People and Culture team to initiate the hiring process of adult housing services staff, leads interviews, and is involved in the hiring decisions of selected candidates.
Provides staff development support, mentoring, onboarding, and training.
Develop work plans in collaboration with direct reports.
Supports staff with harm reduction strategies, crisis intervention techniques, and motivational interviewing practices.
Supports staff through crisis and high-stress situations, while prioritizing the safety of all involved.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION:
Tracks program expenditures and budgets.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with partnering agencies, stakeholders, and other service providers.
Completes and submits program reports.
Ensures that program documentation adheres to HIPAA standards.
Tracks and analyzes program outcomes, and guides program activities to ensure contract compliance.
Collaborates with the quality assurance team to ensure that program data is captured and retained in case management software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

In the VITA Assistant role, you'll have oversight for their designated Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site(s); follow all operating procedures as laid out in the IRS publication 1084. Reviews, corrects and resends rejected tax files and pending tax files on a daily basis
Ensures tax returns outside the scope of the VITA program are referred to a paid preparer
Ensures all tax clients complete necessary documents and this information is entered into the designated database system

POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Residential Counselor supervises operations at The Center's emergency shelter, Safe STAY Wellness Center, serving transitional-age youth (ages 18-24). This role includes staff supervision and development of shelter staff, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and ensuring continuous care for youth residents. The ideal candidate is trauma-informed, youth-centered, and committed to creating an affirming space that meets the physical, emotional, and health-related needs of all residents.
This is a part-time position scheduled for 16 hours per week. This position is scheduled for awake overnight shifts on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Availability to be on-call for additional shifts as needed is preferred.
PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct supervision and leadership to program staff, including staff development, data quality, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
Maintain an active staff presence during assigned shifts, including awake overnight coverage, to ensure consistent supervision and support.
Coordinate staffing schedules and collaborate with the Youth Housing Manager to secure timely and reliable shift coverage during staff absences or schedule changes.
Conduct routine safety checks, respond effectively to emergencies and crises
Using trauma-informed de-escalation techniques and ensure timely and thorough completion of incident reports.
Ensure supplies are stocked and reordered as needed.
Support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new program staff to maintain a skilled and mission-aligned team.
Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and safe, and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Maintain regular communication with supportive services staff to coordinate care, address challenges, and support each youth's individual needs.
Foster a collaborative, respectful, and professional environment through strong relationships with youth participants and team members.

Required Qualifications:

What You'll Do:
In the Licensed Vocational Nurse role, you'll provide high-touch, community-based recuperative care services to individuals with serious and complex physical health, behavioral health and social service needs who are experiencing homelessness. This role supports clients in achieving or maintaining individual stability and prevent hospital admission or readmission and system disengagement by providing persistent outreach, advocacy, health education and coordination of care across multiple service domains. The LVN focuses on improving functioning, enhancing quality of life, and promoting long-term stability to prevent returning to homelessness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct daily rounds and assess client health, including checking and recording vital signs
Monitor client progress and report significant changes to the supervising nurse or clinical program manager
Engage in frequent client contact through scheduled or unscheduled visits, in program outreach, and telephonic support-often multiple times per week
Provide weekly medication management, including but not limited to; assistance with organizing medication in pill organizer, ensuring adherence to prescribed regimens, educating clients about medication purpose and potential side effects, assisting with prescription refills
Perform at minimum weekly compliance checks to ensure medication list is present, and boxes are secure, up-to-date, and correctly stocked
Assist patients with blood glucose monitoring and provide instruction in self-administered insulin injections
Assists with basic nursing care, including but not limited to wound care, dressing changes, catheter care and hygiene support as needed
Educate clients on medical conditions, self-care practices, diet, smoking cessation, and treatment compliance
Support clients in achieving health-related goals by teaching disease management and wellness practices
Promote clients' self-determination by establishing individual care goals and educate clients on individual health conditions, medications, and self-care skills
Assist with trainings and educate staff and clients on various medical/health related topics
Provide support to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), interns, and volunteers withing the nursing department
Review patient referrals and determines initial eligibility for services as needed

Job Summary:
The F&C Program Manager provides leadership and oversight for our Family & Children's Outpatient Continuum Program(s), serving youth ages 6-20 and their families who are Medi-Cal beneficiaries, including LGBTQ+ specific services. This Program Manager is a leader who oversees all aspects of the program to ensure its success and the well-being of its clients. Their responsibilities include staff management, such as hiring, training, and supervising a team of mental health professionals and paraprofessionals, as well as program development, where they adapt our program design as needed to meet client needs in a changing environment. They also handle administrative duties, including budget management and compliance, and serve as a key community liaison, building relationships with other child-serving organizations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Hiring, training, and weekly (non-BBS) supervision of a team of mental health professionals and paraprofessional staff.
Management and oversight of staff caseloads and billable hours to standard, and assignment of incoming referrals.
Review staff documentation and provide feedback/ correction to ensure compliance to Medi-Cal, legal, and ethical standards.
Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed to support staff's professional development.
Conduct initial 6-month reviews for new hires and annual performance reviews for staff.
Ensure that all services are focused on strength-based, individualized care that aligns with Agency values and program structure/ anticipated outcomes.
Serve a small caseload of clients if/when needed based on program capacity.
Participate in on-call management rotation (including afterhours/ weekends) every 3-6 weeks (additional stipend provided).
Budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial sustainability.
Building and maintaining relationships with community partners and schools.
Conduct monthly chart audits in coordination with staff and the Quality Improvement team.

Under the supervision and direction of the Shelter Manager of the Family Shelter Services, the Housing Specialist will support families in developing housing plans to prepare them to transition into permanent housing from the Family Shelter. What You'll Do:
In the Resident Behavior Health Aide role, you'll be responsible for providing a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric care to patients who have been discharged from Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Managed Health Plans, Palomar Hospital and Tri-City Hospital, to achieve a more adaptive level of physical, psychological and social functioning while in the program. Working within a comprehensive team of skilled professionals the Resident Behavioral Health Aide engages with the recuperative care team to get the patient back to self-sufficiency. This position is also responsible for the safe and timely transportation of clients to and from various appointments and ensuring facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
Provides behavioral services to patients under the general supervision of registered nurses and other qualified personnel
Observes and assesses patients' physical condition, behavior and responses to treatment and reporting any significant changes to the appropriate supervisor and other appropriate staff members
Performs tasks that are within the scope of his/her education preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of the Recuperative Care Program
Assists with the coordination of services, including planning, monitoring, documenting and conducting evaluations of services to patients
Utilizes behavioral and physical techniques to prevent injury to patients and other and to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients; responds appropriately to crisis situations
Keeps hallways and common areas clear of debris, wheelchairs, etc.
Ensures facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
Orients new patients to their room, facility, laundry, cafeteria, etc.
Assists patients with making medical appointments and any transportation necessary
Assist passengers on and off the vehicle, including those with physical limitations
Secure passengers' wheelchairs and assist disabled passengers in and out of the vehicle
Observe traffic laws and regulations
Ensure clients have safely entered the medical facility before leaving
Maintain and update transportation calendar; schedule and select routes and travel times so clients arrive for appointments on time, and are picked up within a reasonable period of time after appointments are completed
Maintain contact with clients and staff for appointment and schedule changes
Maintain order and discipline in the vehicle; retain documentation of maintenance records
Report problematic client behavior or disruption of service to the supervisor
Lock and secure the vehicle when leaving unattended; check to ensure no passengers are still in the vehicle before leaving unattended
Maintain a daily record of mileage and the number of passengers transported
Clean and service the vehicle with fuel; report vehicle deficiencies immediately for repair and maintenance
Ensures the confidentiality of patient information and health records
Participates in all staff meetings and trainings
Perform additional duties as assigned

Specific Responsibilities: Accountable to Program Manager. Will provide trauma-informed care coordination, case management and ILS-related services, including completion of needs assessments and stabilization plans, crisis intervention, advocacy, referrals, recreational opportunities, group services, and administrative duties as assigned in coordination with university curriculum outlined in practicum learning agreement. Responsible for producing and maintaining timely program-specific documentation and internship assignments within deadlines. Responsible for scheduling and planning for individual supervision. Responsible for completing and maintaining up-to-date timesheets and monthly reports. *Position requires an average of 16-20 hours per week but may require more at times. May work with other programs in the agency to complete hours during practicum.
Duties:
1. Develop, implement, and evaluate a trauma-informed, integrated treatment approach with our youth and families that adheres to and upholds the rigorous standards of San Diego Youth Services as mandated by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality.
2. Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards of service partner protected health information in accordance with agency policies and procedures and applicable regulations and laws, including HIPAA.
3. Complete documentation in electronic health Record as appropriate for development as potential future staffing.
4. Participate in agency orientation and continuing training requirements, treatment team and staff meetings.
5. Maintain professional demeanor and boundaries with service partners, families, staff, and community partners.
Clinical Intern/Trainee Specific Duties Also Include:
· Establish rapport with youth and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
· Promote youth safety through supportive supervision in the facility and the community.
· Develop and practice basic and advanced skills training and psychoeducation with support.
· Follow through with risk assessments, safety planning, and mandated reporting with support.
· Develop and practice basic intervention skills with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups with supervision and training.
· Facilitate group psychoeducation groups with Service Partners and or families/ parents.
· Conduct outreach to the community to enroll youth and families in appropriate services.
· Assist Service Partners/families with accessing available community resources as needed.
· Maintain clear, effective, and open communication with staff and supervisor.
· Participate in maintaining the daily cleanliness and order of the program facility.
· Develop and maintain a plan to address intrapersonal and interpersonal issues, particularly those concerning legal and ethical standards of the agency and the specific profession.
Qualifications: Working toward Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field and eligible for internship or practicum. Must be able to seek consultation and supervision while working both autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams. Effective communication and leadership required. Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity. Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care. Bilingual preferred. Must have a valid California driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Must be willing to use personal vehicle to drive to assignments or with agency vehicle if permitted by University.
