The Marketing and Business Analytics Department at San José State University's Lucas College and Graduate School of Business is pleased to announce a search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in Marketing or Business Analytics with an emphasis on quantitative marketing, marketing strategy, sales, sports marketing, sustainable marketing, artificial intelligence, or marketing automation. Required Qualifications
A doctorate from an accredited university and scholarly active (SA) status under AACSB standards. A doctoral degree must be fully awarded by the date of appointment in order to start but preferably by May 31, 2026.
Evidence of teaching excellence or potential for teaching effectiveness.
Demonstrated record of or potential for scholarly publications and for developing a strong scholarly record commensurate with rank and suitable for advancement.
Interest in engaging with Silicon Valley professionals and connecting our students - largely first generation, economically diverse, and multicultural - to the business community.
Evidence of awareness and sensitivity to the educational goals of a socially and economically diverse student population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Priority will be given to candidates whose research focus is in quantitative marketing, marketing strategy, sales, sports marketing, sustainable marketing, artificial intelligence, or marketing automation.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching Marketing and/or Business Analytics courses depending on department needs, including in quantitative marketing, marketing strategy, sales, sports marketing, sustainable marketing, artificial intelligence, or marketing automation. Teaching assignments are at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in traditional and accelerated formats.
Engaging in scholarly activities as evidenced by developing and maintaining an active research agenda in peer reviewed high-quality journals and by presenting at academic and professional conferences.
The candidate will participate in shared governance, usually in department, college, and university committees and other service assignments.
Faculty shall organize all their classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Campus Safety Specialist performs security, public safety support, community engagement, and related community service functions to support a safe, inclusive, and welcoming campus environment for all Titans to thrive. As a team member of UPD, the Campus Safety Specialist shall support efforts to ensure equity and inclusion are incorporated into department operations, programs, services, and culture. A Campus Safety Specialist patrols the University on foot, bicycle, and vehicle to maintain high visibility to protect the campus community and visitors from fire, theft, vandalism, threats, and other safety concerns. Provide safety support to designated social workers and/or police officers during the response to people in crisis for situations that do not involve weapon(s) or violence. When directed, the Campus Safety Specialist will transport people in crisis to designated facilities. They will also provide safety escorts to community members. Assists in the education, intervention, and enforcement of campus policies and regulations. Proactively monitor security cameras and download footage to support investigations as part of the department's crime prevention efforts as well as assist dispatch in answering non-emergency phone calls when needed.
The Campus Safety Specialist will assist the campus community in the event of an emergency pursuant to their training and department protocols including assistance with evacuations and rendering immediate assistance to those in need. Perform other administrative, security, and loss prevention related functions for the campus including at the bookstore, library, and other areas as deemed necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications

POSITION
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool.
We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach undergraduate courses in communicative disorders as needed in the following subject areas:
Phonetics
Introduction to communicative disorders
Audiology and audiometry
Aural Rehabilitation
Speech/language disorders
Speech/language development
Sign language
Anatomy and physiology
Neurology and neurogenic communicative disorders
Clinical methods and procedures
Clinical Supervision
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's or PhD (i.e. M.A, M.S., AuD, PhD, EdD) degree in Communicative Disorders
Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level or at least 5 years of experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP).
Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist or Audiologist with ASHA-CCC and State of California Licensure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
Preference will also be given to SLPs who are bilingual for clinical supervision

APPOINTMENT DATE AND ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The need for part-time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term begins in the late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term runs from the middle of January through the end of May. On rare occasions part-time faculty are needed during one of the Summer Session segments.
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Regular performance evaluations of part-time lecturers are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. These performance evaluations determine which lecturers will be retained for future and continued teaching assignments. And in some instances, syllabi, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
APPOINTMENT AND SALARY
All part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month
The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a three-unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.

Job Summary
Reporting to and under general direction of the University Registrar, the Transfer Credit, Transcripts and Clearinghouse Professional performs complex professional student services work specific to interpreting, applying and posting transfer credits according to state, system and local regulations. The incumbent serves as one of the primary campus liaisons with the National Student Clearinghouse, submitting reports, correcting errors, and assuring accuracy between the Clearinghouse and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). The incumbent self-manages an often demanding workload to maintain accuracy and is expected to establish on-going professional advisement relationships with students; oversee the order process and delivery of transcripts to students and alumni; coordinate and administer assigned programs; recognize specific program needs and develop approaches for possible implementation to meet these needs; assist with the development of policies, procedures and forms; recommend changes on varied matters both within and outside the department; and may serve as a lead person is various work groups.
Key Qualifications
This position requires the equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in in a related field, including or supplemented by upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques, interviewing, and conflict resolution where such are job-related. Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience. One year in the program area to which assigned may be preferred but is not required. Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required. Knowledge of database, spreadsheet and PeopleSoft preferred.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period. Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and will not exceed $5,540 a month.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year. Sonoma State University is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Employer.
