Major Responsibilities/Activities: Counts down and balances the cage vault at the beginning and end of shift, and balances amounts to the impress bank. Sets-up cage equipment prior to opening of cage window. Exchanges currency, coin, chips and tokens to customers. Completes and signs associated accountability forms. Conducts customer even money exchange transactions. Redeems coin and completes Jackpot/Fill transactions. Has knowledge of federal cash reporting requirements and completes the necessary paperwork to comply with federal currency transaction reporting requirements of Title 31. While at an employee only window, cage cashier conducts jackpot and hopper fill transactions and conducts table fill and credit transactions. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the locked fill and credit slip-dispensing machine. At end of shift deposits, accumulated tips in the tip box, located in the cage vault. Reports and submits all tips earned at end of shift. Obtain and maintain most current information regarding applicable Tribal, State, Federal, and Gaming policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members. High School diploma or GED required. One year of high-volume cash handling experience required, preferably in a casino cage. Some college courses in Banking and Finance or related area preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have advanced Computer capabilities. Must be 10-key capable. Knowledge of gaming software systems required with use of IGT software preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license. A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company's choice, through a payroll deduction program. All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
