Responsibilities Position is on a Telemetry Neuro (Tele Neuro 2B) unit in an acute care setting 28-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio Night, 12-hour shifts (7PM-7AM), every other weekend required (could be every 3rd) Floats to Cardiac Tele, MedSurg Onc, and possibly to a sister facility as needed Uses Cerner EMR-Cerner experience is required GE monitors used for telemetry; must be able to interpret EKGs Intensivist, RT, and pharmacy support available 24/7 Unit charge nurse is present and does not take patients Nurse aides provide additional unit support Care for a range of neuro and telemetry patients, including CVA post TPA, TIAs, head bleeds, carotid procedures, thoracotomies, AICDs, and post-surgical patients requiring telemetry Must pass a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides provided) Scrub color is navy Expected to float per unit needs, including to sister facilities as required Holiday coverage will follow the permanent staff rotation No vents on this unit Returning employees must not have worked for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required, pending licenses not accepted Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or Neuro experience required Travel nursing experience is required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must be active at time of consideration) Cerner EMR experience is mandatory Must pass a Dysrhythmia (EKG interpretation) exam prior to contract-maximum two attempts allowed Must provide two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and a supervisor or peer within the last 3 years Copy of driver's license required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-654753.
