POSITION OVERVIEW The Training and Engagement Partner supports a culture of learning, belonging, and well-being across the organization. This position develops and delivers employee training and engagement initiatives through a trauma-informed lens, fostering a safe and supportive workplace environment. The Partner will lead the Employee Engagement Committee (formerly the DEI Committee) and coordinate continuing education opportunities, including CEU-accredited sessions, that align with the organization's mission, values, and people strategy. This position reports to the Chief People & Culture Officer. RESPONSIBILITIES Learning & Development Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs focused on leadership, communication, wellness, and inclusive workplace practices. Apply trauma-informed principles in all facilitation and curriculum design to promote psychological safety and empathy. Collaborate with Programs and teams to assess training needs and create customized learning solutions. Coordinate logistics for CEU-accredited programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and documentation requirements. Employee Engagement Serve as the primary facilitator and coordinator of the Employee Engagement Committee, guiding initiatives that strengthen belonging, civility, and cross-team collaboration. Report engagement efforts to the Employee Engagement Committee with recommendations Monitor the anonymous reporting system and summarize any efforts for resolution Develop and support engagement events, recognition activities, and organizational culture campaigns. Collect and analyze feedback from engagement surveys and focus groups to identify themes and action opportunities. Partnership & Collaboration Partner with HR and organizational leaders to integrate learning and engagement strategies into talent and culture priorities. Support the Chief People & Culture Officer with reporting, metrics, and communications related to training and engagement outcomes. Build and maintain relationships with external training providers, facilitators, and accrediting organizations. Requirements Education & Experience Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required; Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. 3-5 years of experience in training, learning & development, or employee engagement. Experience facilitating or designing programs using a trauma-informed approach. Experience coordinating or delivering CEU-accredited training preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong facilitation and presentation skills with an inclusive, empathetic communication style. Understanding of trauma-informed principles, adult learning theory, and group dynamics. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to foster trust, collaboration, and engagement across diverse employee groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning platforms (LMS experience preferred). Each year, we collaborate with approximately 75 law firms and 1,200 pro bono attorneys. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and highly professional Project Assistant to join our Pro Bono team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing justice for survivors of gender-based violence and skilled at building strong partnerships with law firms, volunteer attorneys, and colleagues across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the intersection of law, public service, and nonprofit management. The Project Assistant will gain broad exposure to Sanctuary's legal programs and play a key role in ensuring the success of pro bono initiatives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.     Job Description Streetwork Project is an innovative outreach-counseling program for homeless youth in Harlem, which utilizes a harm reduction approach providing comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults impacted by homelessness and involved in street activities (gangs, violence, drug use/sale and survival sex).     Job Description Safe Horizon's Anti-Trafficking Program (ATP) is one of the largest providers on the East Coast and one of the only providers in New York State offering comprehensive services to survivors of all types of human trafficking, including labor trafficking. Our program applies a multi-tiered approach to eradicating human trafficking. We provide intensive case management, supportive counseling and legal services to holistically meet the needs of trafficked persons. While recognizing that client services alone will not turn the tide on human trafficking, our Anti-Trafficking Program also offers community education, technical assistance, training and advocacy to foster systemic change. The Training and Outreach Manager is responsible for developing and implementing training programs, in coordination with ATP staff, with the primary goal of assisting grantees of the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Victims of Crime (OVC) Enhanced Collaborative Model to Combat Human Trafficking (ECM), in particular the Brooklyn Human Trafficking Task Force (BKHTTF), to improve community prevention of, and response to, the crimes of human trafficking, both sex and labor. The Training and Outreach Manager will continue to develop our existing training modules, outreach campaign and materials, in collaboration with Kings County District Attorney Office (KCDAO)'s BKHTTF Director. The Training and Outreach Manager, in conjunction with KCDAO staff, will conduct training and outreach activities in high-risk areas of NYC with the goal to increase awareness of human trafficking, and to increase trust between communities and law enforcement agents. This position will require travel within New York City, some limited travel out of state and some weekend and off hour work. The Training and Outreach Manager is also responsible for conducting a specific number of trainings/presentations and outreach efforts in compliance with the OVC-ECM grant from the Department of Justice.     Job Description Therapist - Counseling Center - 60% Full-Time The Trauma Therapist position is 60% of a full-time position (21 hours per week) and is a hybrid position with 11 hours onsite and 10 hours remote. Onsite hours include 4 hours every Saturday and one shift from 12:00 to 8:00 during the week. This is an excellent position for clinicians in need of licensing hours and who wish to become experts in several evidence-based treatments for survivors of all ages of interpersonal violence. The Safe Horizon Counseling Center (SHCC) is a New York State-licensed outpatient mental health clinic that specializes, exclusively, in the trauma-focused treatment of child and adult survivors of interpersonal violence and other forms of abuse. SHCC also functions as the mental health “hub” of Safe Horizon, the largest crime victim's assistance agency in the country. Our main clinic is located at 41 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, and we operate two satellites that are co-located at other Safe Horizon programs. Nearly half of SHCC's clients are referred by one of Safe Horizon's vast arrays of programs. The Trauma Therapist will receive paid training and supervision in a variety of evidence-based treatments for trauma survivors, and the client hours meet New York State's experience requirements for LCSW licensure. Responsibilities: Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients. Demonstrates exceptional engagement skills and clinical expertise in the provision of trauma-focused mental health treatment to SHCC clients (at least 60% engagement rate after 6 months); Provides time-limited, evidence-based trauma-focused individual treatment to clients of all ages; Develops and maintains expertise in the clinic's chosen methods of treatment including TF-CBT and Seeking Safety, as well as CPP, ARC, SPARCS, and CFTSI, as assigned; Monitors treatment fidelity following training in evidence-based treatments; Responds to the occasional client crisis, as necessary, with the support of the Clinical Director and/or Clinical Supervisor; Requests and participates in case conferences as necessary; Maintains a caseload of 16 clients at all times Maintains a productivity level of 12 billable services per week (totaling 564 billable visits per year) Participates in weekly supervision and treatment planning meetings; Maintains timely and accurate documentation of all case activities such that it is in “audit-ready” compliance with all Safe Horizon City, State, and Federal requirements; Performs other job duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements: Must be able to attend weekly meetings on Zoom every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for training and group supervision.
