Innovative Customer Experience (ICE) division is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Computing Systems Tec for the ICE Field Services (ICE-FS) group. ICE-FS consists of approximately 95 professionals, technicians, and students. The ICE-FS group is responsible for the desktop support for computing environments at the Laboratory. **What You Will Do** The 201 MHz High-Power RF (HPRF) team at LANSCE is seeking an Engineered Systems Technician for the High Powered Radio Frequency (HPRF) team. The AOT division maintains, operates, and upgrades all accelerator systems used at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) complex. These consist of two 750-keV Cockcroft-Walton-based injector systems (H+ and H- systems), a 201.25-MHz drift-tube linear accelerator (LINAC) utilizing high-power diacrode tubes, an 805-MHz coupled cavity LINAC utilizing high-power klystrons as the primary power source, a proton storage ring, and roughly a kilometer of beam transport lines that deliver beam to the five independent research programs. **What You Will Do** This position will be filled at the R&D Engineer 3 or the 4 level, depending on the skills, education and experience of the selected candidate. The Advanced Sources and Detector (ASD) Project is seeking a senior engineer to serve as either the Accelerator Coordinator or Lead Design Engineer (LDE). Nicknamed Scorpius, the project is responsible for the fabrication, installation, and commissioning of a ~20 MeV linear induction electron accelerator through the coordinated efforts of Los Alamos (LANL), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), and the Nevada National Security site (NNSS). The machine will be used to diagnose subcritical experiments within an underground complex (U1a; 963 feet below grade) in support of the Enhanced Capabilities for Subcritical Experiments Program. This position will be filled at either the R&D Engineer 3 or 4 level depending on the skills and experience of the selected candidate and the needs of the project. **Accelerator Coordinator** The Accelerator Coordinator for the ASD Project will work with the Accelerator Control Account Managers and Technical Leader to execute the final design, procurements, fabrication, and assembly of the accelerator system to be installed at the U1a complex at the NNSS (~$180M of total scope). The coordinator will coordinate with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that all requirements are properly documented in procurement packages prior to award and ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with the project's technical, quality, cost, and schedule objectives post award. The coordinator will also provide oversight for the assembly and testing of the first components at LANL and execution of the remaining build through in-house resources and subcontractors. Responsibilities Peraton has an opening for a Spacecraft Systems Engineer at the White Sands Complex in Las Cruces, NM. The Spacecraft Systems Engineer will join a team of engineers dedicated to maintaining the health and safety of the STPSat-6 spacecraft and associated ground equipment. This position will be responsible for the following: * Perform daily monitoring and trending of the STPSat-6 spacecraft state-of-health data * Develop procedures for performing spacecraft activities, including battery management, station-keeping maneuvers, and momentum unloads * Analyzes mission partner requests and execute payload commanding * Plans and conducts experimental, operational simulations * Analyze and identify spacecraft anomaly root causes, then plan and execute recovery actions. * Plans, coordinates, directs, and evaluates testing of aerospace systems * Plans and coordinates activities concerned with investigating and resolving aerospace vehicle and or mission partner concerns * Monitor and maintain associated ground equipment and coordinate maintenance activities * Performs risk assessment of aerospace systems and generates risk mitigation plans and strategies. * Occasional work during nights or weekends is required when executing activities or anomaly recoveries * As experience is gained, provide on-the-job training to peers * Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 0-2 years of relative experience. * This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship Desired Experience: * Active Secret security clearance. * MS degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. * 1+ years of experience in digital signal processing. * Proficiency with Systems Tool Kit, FreeFlyer, MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW. * Previous spacecraft operations, design, or test experience. * Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power sensors, and/or other RF equipment. * Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with peers and TDRS management. * Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Target Salary Range $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
