Enjoyed working with patients and coworkers in MRI. Learned alot about different MRI scans which made me a better scheduler. Generally good pay and benefits.
Clicky culture in Radiology, I experienced sabotage from some co workers there only to be validated verbally by one member of my management team that in fact this was going on. A bad manager can ruin a good employee, as in my case.
The pride of working for Sanford in the early days. In the MRI setting, the coworkers were family. Watched out for and supported each other.
At MRI he cared about his employees, asked for feedback at times and supported his employees.
I get its a business but when you treat employees like they are important and matter, you seem to get alot more work out of them and happy employee as well.
Learning as much about Sanford that I could. Prepared myself regarding possible questions about the role I was applying for, with a smile and positive attitude as I thoroughly enjoyed my job.
Sanford is the largest employer in the area because their reach is everywhere now, which I helped build that reach but great customer service and Patient experience but now its so big that staffing in all departments are short handed. Smaller facilities can't compete with compensation.
I think they were maybe not as diverse in the beginning but now that it has become very diverse I think it has created unintended consequences. Staff don't seem to be trained as well and I see communication barriers and the frustration in the patient base.
Working, greeting and checking in patients. Bringing the best patient experience I can provide.
Great leadership, tools to do my job and ability to self manage without micro-management. The ability to work from home on rotating shifts.
Maybe the physical environment could be better but since we have rotating shifts with working in office and from home it has been a better experience.
Good 401k, lots of location based discounts at stores.
* Seeing many faces. * Variety of daily tasks. * Interest in healthcare.
* Salaries are very low. * Recognition is rare. * Advancement opportunities are not what one would want.
Access to other staff and colleagues.
More cons than pros in the communication field. For being a healthcare company, the insurance should be WAY better than what is offered. No room to advancement and micro managers.
I love it here :p

The patients are wonderful. Being able to see them when delivering is the best.
The interaction with the patients.
