To me, the role of inside counsel is among the most complex and difficult performed by lawyers. It is also one of the most rewarding.

Inside lawyers must be technical experts on a wide range of subjects and have the ability to solve legal problems as well as prevent them. Secondly, inside lawyers must serve as trusted counselors able to see beyond legal doctrine to develop and implement workable solutions to real-world problems. Finally, inside lawyers must be responsible and accountable leaders within their organizations.
