Sanitation truck cleaner job description

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling in a refrigerated environment wearing protective gear and safety work boots (voucher will be provided for footwear). Routine standing and moving up to 10 hours a day. Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs. unassisted.

Requirements:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete physical cleaning process nightly, included removing physical soils, foaming equipment and work surfaces, rinsing and sanitizing all surfaces
• Will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness of all equipment and workspaces
• Daily breakdown and set up of any and all equipment used in cleaning
• Assist other sanitation staff in any and all other tasks associated with cleaning
• ATP swabbing to validate that our sanitation process is working
• Watch for trending with hard to clean areas and deep clean as needed
• Handle any chemicals used safely and in compliance with SDS sheets
• Uphold a high standard for cleanliness and always work to improve the cleaning process

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Comply to all company safety protocols and standards
• Comply to all company GMPs
• Work closely with supervisors, management team and other line level employees
• Practice good personal hygiene and cleanliness

FOOD SAFETY RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Notify Manager/QC of any repairs or adjustments that are required on equipment used in production/cleaning
• Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company
• Inform Management of ANY food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become non-compliant with specified requirements
• Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system
• Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $11 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Sanitation Cleaner:

* Frequent bending to bag trash from floor and cup holders

* Sweeping each row, stairs, concourse, floor with broom/dustpan

* Mopping

* Consistent walking/standing/bending

* Lots of walking up and downstairs

Available shifts:

Shift Timings - 3rd Shift (Night) & Weekends

Job requirements:

* Must be able to walk consistently throughout shift (stairs involved)

* Be able to use standard broom, dustpan, push broom, mop/mop bucket, vacuum.

* Must have items in clear bag

* No large backpacks/purses

* No weapons such as but not limited to: pocket knives, etc.

**Position Overview**

As a Slot Cleaner, you will be acting as sanitation support for the Warehouse team and play a primary role in ensuring the warehouse is in compliance with any/all food safety handling requirements.

**Description**

+ Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots

+ Clean spills including damaged product, oil, grease, broken glass, etc. May require use of sawdust, brooms, mops, or shovels

+ Frequently, pull product out of the slot with a pallet jack and clean slot with cleaning supplies and electric scrubber and replace product

+ May break areas and offices when necessary.

+ Collecting and baling plastic wrap throughout your shift.

+ May clean warehouse offices and employee break areas: empty trash cans, clean windows, vacuum carpeted offices, collect paper and empty boxes

+ May clean and maintain warehouse restrooms through use of disinfecting products when necessary

+ Clean fire extinguishers. Ensure lights are turned off and doors are locked when appropriate

+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Occasionally smelling, kneeling, crawling, pivoting, crouching, fingering, feeling and talking. Frequently standing and walking on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. Frequently sitting and stooping. Frequently reaching (level: Waist/overhead, etc.). Frequently handling, carrying, pushing, lifting and pulling up to 60 Lbs. Continuously seeing, hearing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must be able to stand or walk on concrete floors throughout your scheduled shift, with occasional overtime.
