Properly and safely clean and sanitize the production equipment and facility, in a timely manner, so production will not experience any delays in start-up. The facility must be able to pass pre-operative inspections, USDA and SQF inspections and Quality Assurance Department daily inspections.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Good communication skills;

· Must be responsible for proper handling and use of chemicals;
· Must be able to follow directions and instructions given by Sanitation Supervisor/Lead and Quality Assurance Department;
Essential Functions
· Tear down and properly prepare equipment for sanitation;
· Clean and sanitize all equipment and the production area (including equipment, walls and floors) using strong chemicals in a wet environment;
· Inspect areas for cleanliness, including proper documentation in accordance with sanitation standard operating procedures;
· Maintain a sanitary environment, both pre-operational and operational;
· Properly set up and prepare the equipment and departments for production;
· Special cleaning of the facility as needed or when scheduled;
· Must maintain strict adherence to the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance Guidelines at all time to ensure the wholesomeness of our product;
· Meet time requirements while maintaining safe practices and food safety requirements.

The Sanitation Worker plays a key role in quality assurance by maintaining high standards of cleanliness that meet industry standards. Sanitation duties are performed on the midnight shift. The position provides full time hours normally 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Weekend overtime required as scheduled.
This position is physically demanding requiring routine lifting, bending, climbing and walking. High pressure hoses are utilized to clean industrial equipment, walls, ceilings, etc. Sanitation workers will be exposed to wet working conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning/sanitizing production equipment, machines, and work areas in food processing facility Responsible for handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, preparing sanitizers, preparing chemical concentrations, handling and storing the chemicals Significant strength is required for many cleaning operations. Sanitation Workers must be able to control high-pressure hoses (e.g. 250 psi is common), lift heavy containers of chemicals, and empty trash receptacles around production
