1980

In 1980 he cofounded Sanmina and began serving the company in various management capacities.

In 1980, he co-founded Sanmina Corporation and switched his positions a couple of times.

Sanmina was founded by Jure Sola and Milan Mandarić in 1980 as a printed circuit board manufacturer.

1993

The company completed an initial public offering on NASDAQ in 1993.

1997

Ranked ninth among contract manufacturers in 1997, the company avoided consumer products in order to concentrate on high-end networking and telecommunications applications.

2001

He explained, "Our approach is winning new-product introductions and designs in Japan, but doing the manufacturing in China" ( Electronic Buyers News , December 10, 2001).

2002

Then in early 2002, Sanmina acquired Viking Interworks of Rancho Santa Margarita for $15 million ($10.9 million in cash and 390,000 shares of Sanmina stock worth $10.26 per share at the time).

2004

As of 2004 the merger was the largest ever in the electronic manufacturing services industry.

2012

On November 15, 2012, the company changed its name to Sanmina.

2015

On July 2, 2015, the company announced that it had acquired the CertainSource Technology Group.

2017

Bob Eulau replaced co-founder Jure Sola becoming the CEO effective October 2, 2017.

2018

Revenue of $7.11B for fiscal year 2018

In 2018, the company was ranked 411 on the Fortune 500 list.

2019

After this change, Sola assumed the role of Executive Chairman of the Board . Hartmut Liebel assumed the role of CEO in October, 2019.

2020

Jure Sola returned again as CEO in August 2020.
