The successful candidate will be a motivated, growth-oriented professional with the ability to manage project teams from the planning, preliminary design, final design, construction phases, start-up, and operations of facilities or infrastructure. Who we are looking for:
You will primarily provide engineering support on drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, and water resources projects. This position offers the opportunity to direct and collaborate with a team of junior and mid-level staff while providing the ability to consistently work with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate is a technically focused individual with strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and systems and experienced in engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand how to support their needs. Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems is preferred. You will lead the technical delivery of multiple projects, must be familiar with local and federal regulations, and be able to support marketing and proposal efforts.
What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:
Act as the Project Manager for all sizes of projects
Work alongside Technical Manager(s), when needed, to lead the technical approach and delivery of projects.
Prepare and deliver presentations and training programs to internal and external clients and professional associations.
Support business development efforts under the direction of a client manager to provide technical support and guidance to a range of clients
What You Will Need To Succeed:
10-15 years of engineering experience.
A B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or an M.S. Degree is preferred.
Registered Professional Engineer in California
The successful candidate will have technical and project delivery expertise in civil and environmental engineering and an in-depth understanding of the engineering concepts associated with all types of municipal water and wastewater systems, including water supply and treatment processes and distribution and collection systems infrastructure.
Knowledgeable in state bidding laws and funding programs.
Up to date on the latest technological advances, regulatory trends, equipment, and processes.
Superior writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Position Duties
Under the supervision of the Police Academy Lieutenant, the Program Manager is responsible for managing the training program operations within the Bureau of Administration's Training Unit. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating training for the 32-week Police Recruit training program and is responsible for ensuring training hours and requirements meet or exceed California's Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requirements.
The Academy has a Paramilitary structure with weekly physical conditioning, firearms training, arrest and control tactics, and an intense classroom curriculum. There are learning domains, weekly exams, mid-term and final exams including scenario/role-playing practical situations.
Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
* Create and manage the Police Academy schedule, coordinate and facilitate Police Recruit training academy requirements.
* Monitor and conduct training needs assessments for training staff, and entry level employees to ensure basic courses meet education, training, and safety expectations, both by the Department and state level.
* Constant evaluation of academy policy and procedures to ensure compliance at local and state level. Maintain awareness and incorporate new training on amended or new policies or procedures.
* Plan, implement, and manage academy training operations to ensure the efficient utilization of staffing and resources. Coordinate and collaborate on the instruction schedule with over 80 instructors for each academy cycle. Maintain ongoing communication with instructors on scheduled dates, plan future academy classes, and respond to schedule changes as needed to accommodate testing requirements and instructor availability, particularly when overlapping academy schedules are present.
* Management of electronic database systems and academic files to fulfill the POST Commission Regulations. Work directly with POST to coordinate academy opening and closing procedures, including deadlines and other relevant details. Oversee instructor files, security forms, and administrative documents for daily operations and successful POST audits.
* Represent the Department Training program to outside agencies and professional groups to build and maintain positive working relationships. Market and promote training academy, network at CA POST and advisory meetings to establish SJPD as a best practices' agency at local, state and regional levels.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a closely related field AND five (5) years of directly-related experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Reporting to SC|SU/HA Together's Senior Management, the Program Manager is responsible for managing the planning and implementation of the Resource Connection Network program which includes implementation of grants, staff management, budget management, and coordination of all related grants and projects within the RCN program. 1. Program Management & Implementation
Manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Resource Connection Network (RCN) to ensure program goals, deliverables, and grant requirements are met.

Description: Within the Parks & Community Services Department, the Summer Playgrounds Program Manager works with the Community Services Program Coordinator, the City of Davis, local businesses and program staff to develop and facilitate multiple summer day camp programs consistent with the needs and interests of the community and the City of Davis core values. This position requires extensive planning, organization, decision-making and supervision of staff.
Hours: Must be available to work approximately 10 hours a week between the months of February and May. From June through September 1, work hours will be approximately 40 - 50 hours/week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, attend Tuesday evening staff meetings, and participate in mandatory trainings prior to summer beginning.
Wages: Community Services Specialist IV: $18.73 - $19.68 per hour (based upon experience).
Status: Temporary Part-Time, No benefits. Applicants will be screened according to experience relevant to this position. Those most qualified will be invited to an individual or small group interview.
Assists the coordinator in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and scheduling program staff. Attends and participates in training for the manager position and the trainings of the program staff. Further trains program staff as necessary. Develops effective written program plans, including games, crafts, field trips and special events for Summer Camp Programs in consultations with the camp leaders. Effectively supervise, coach and mentor program staff. Keep work environments clean and organized. Evaluate program staff and jointly develop improvement plans when necessary. Develops a system for record keeping for all recreation resources in the community including volunteers, activity instructors, contributors, special events and past programs. Prepares oral and written reports on all aspects summer camp programming as required. Provides outstanding customer service to customers, participants and the community.

The ability to plan, promote and evaluate recreation services for the summer camp program. Leadership skills for a wide range of recreation activities and special events. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all the staff from the City of Davis and the community. The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
