Qualifications:

Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.

Formal Training: You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of a Speech and Language Pathologist or Program Specialist, the Speech and Language Pathology Assistant will perform services and consultation with teachers at a school site, provide activities designed to develop language skills and articulation skills, including speech production, vocalization and social pragmatics in students with speech/language disorders. Other duties may include administrative work, meetings, and collaborations with staff and parents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Conduct speech-language screenings using a variety of screening tools and techniques
* Follow documented therapy plans
* Support the SLP with contacting families to arrange IEP meetings.
* Document student progress in IEP system
* Prepare therapy materials for use in pullout small group setting or in classroom setting
* Adapt or modify instructional materials as determined by student need and abilities for teacher-use in the classroom
* Consult with general ed teachers to co-plan instructional materials or implement strategies
* Track performance data using progress monitoring tools and report progress on IEP goals
* Assist with IEP progress monitoring under the supervision of the SLP.
* Creates and maintains safe, positive environment for students
* Collaborates with members of IEP Team, Special Education team and School site teams
* Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
