Job Description
Sante Health System is looking for a full-time Procedure Scheduler to join our team at one of our medical office teams in the Fresno, CA area. This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling procedure appointments for patients in an efficient and timely manner. As well as maintaining and filling provider schedules for all facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
Minimum of three years of medical front office experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience, preferably Medical Manager software.
NextGen and Epic knowledge a plus.
Candidates should have exceptional people and communication skills, be highly skilled in multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Book, coordinate and reschedule patients' consultations and procedure appointments. Relay necessary messages to staff.
Greet patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner. Verify necessary information including insurance coverage.
Print and register daily referrals from fax queue and epic. Sorts and stores all patient files.
Patient check out when provider in office including the follow up appointment. Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Schedule consults and mail out packets (if no assistant provided, based on the volume of the provider)
Screenings and recalls to be reviewed and scheduled on a weekly basis.
Maintain and update current information on physician's procedure schedules.
Function as office liaison to hospitals on behalf of the patients, including coordination of admitting arrangements and any hospital tests or equipment needed.
Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages and provide information.
Answer questions regarding patient surgical appointments and testing
Communicate questions or concerns for prompt resolution.
Update patient chart with any applicable information as necessary
Assist other office personnel in the performance of their duties as assigned and as workload permits.
Function as relief for other personnel in office as appropriate and to facilitate coworker's taking time out of the office.
Work in a cooperative and professional manner with physician and coworkers.
Attend required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
Enhance professional growth and development through in-service meetings and education programs.
Maintain patient confidentiality.

The Utilization review tech essentially works to coordinate the utilization review and appeals process as part of the denial management initiatives. Pay Transparency
La Palma Intercommunity Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $104,228.80 to $140,275.20. Responsibilities
CPT I must meet the regulatory requirements of CA Codes (Business and Professions Code: 1246); (California Code of Regulations: 1034) or state regulatory certification requirements to work in the clinical laboratory. The Certified Phlebotomy Technician I primarily perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages for the purpose of obtaining a blood specimen for analysis in the clinical laboratory and is under the supervision of Laboratory Director / Manager / Supervisor. The CPT I; 1) performs computer data entry, filing, telephone communication and other clerical duties, 2) possesses adequate knowledge of the terminology of tests ordered in the laboratory, 3) demonstrates good communication skills and telephone etiquette in greeting patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner, 4) demonstrates proper phlebotomy technique and the use of equipment in collecting specimens from newborns to geriatric patients, 5) processes microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry and blood bank specimens, 6) processes specimens for referral to reference laboratories, 7) stocks routine supplies, 8) maintains the cleanliness of storage areas, trays, centrifuges, refrigerators, freezers and work areas, 9) processes or load specimens on automated laboratory instrumentation in accordance with established policy and procedures, 10) May be assist to Pick up samples at hospital/ OR, assist lab specialty in sorting out samples for analysis and put away samples, assist pathology, inventory, replenish supplies, order supplies, mail pick up/ delivery, faxing, answering phone, product deliveries, etc.. 11) other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director.

Key Responsibilities:
Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per written orders.
Prepare patients for procedures, including taking a medical history and answering questions about the procedure
Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position
Verify patients' identity and review orders before beginning imaging procedures.
Take x-ray images of the patients and develop the films to reveal their skeletal or bone structures for diagnosis
Adjust and maintain imaging equipment
Protect the patient by shielding exposed areas that do not need to be imaged
Operate the computerized equipment to take the images
Conserve compliance with the governmental protocols and ensuring the safety of patients and employees by using protective instruments and exercising safety measures
Control the x-ray video display and ensure that the picture quality is accurate by making appropriate contrast and density adjustments
Arrange timely servicing of the radiographic equipment and making minor repairs
Make copies of the x-rays and keep a precise record of the patients who have undergone an imaging procedure
Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Requirements:
CA ARRT Licensure
A minimum of 2 years working experience in a healthcare facility as an x-ray or radiology technician
Possession of excellent communication skills
Must have good hand-eye coordination
Must display a high level of flexibility in the process of carrying out assigned duties. This may entail filling in for other colleagues in the face of tight schedules
Must be willing and able to work as part of a team.
Must be able to analyze complex situations within a limited time-frame
Must have an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy
Must have a clear understanding of how to operate medical imaging equipment
