POSITION SUMMARY
The Utilities Billing PrincipalConsultant is focused on the Utilities Industry to facilitate the implementation and support of the IS-Utility (IS-U) solution and focus on the short and long-term strategic business benefits for our customers. You will help define our client's core strategic road map and provide leadership in their digital transformation journey. Being a trusted advisor, you will understand the high-level business requirements of our customers and translate them into SAP solutions. Our vision is to drive business value and ultimately successful outcomes by helping our customers understand how best to leverage, implement, and sustain SAP solutions for the Utilities Industry.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
You will define industry typical business processes and map customer processes to the related process levels. Furthermore, you will design the architecture based on process requirements, application, and system landscape. Finally, you will develop high-level roadmaps in conjunction with team members including the project manager.
Must have:
* A minimum of 7 years SAP consulting experience in the Utilities Industry with a focus on the IS-Utility Solution.
* Broad knowledge of the SAP IS-Utility Solutions and deep industry expertise.
* The ideal candidate must have expert-level knowledge in the following areas:
* IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions.
* Complex Billing and Rates, Rate Modeling, Billing Schemas, Master Data, etc.
* Hands-on experience with both TOU billing and RTP billing.
* Experience or knowledge in market communication/APE is a must.
* Knowledge of integration with Device Management, AMI/MDM, FI-CA, etc.
* Ability to support a Design Success model to ensure our customer's solution are using the "Fit to Standard" and "Clean Core" methodologies to ensure their long-term success.
* Extensive functional and/or solution experience with the ability to facilitate, implement, and support SAP's products to enhance our clients' business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
* Assist clients in achieving their Digital Transformation journey by leveraging S4HANA and helping define their strategic roadmaps.
* Provide our customers with key insight and direction related to industry trends, best practices, and world-class solutions.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead customer engagements at an executive level and manage teams within a project.
* Ability to provide thought leadership and resolve complex issues in escalated projects.
* Performance of feasibility studies, process design reviews, and pre-sales support.
* Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
* Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Bachelor's Degree - Master's degree preferred but not required.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Expert, you will drive the hands-on execution of data and analytics solutions across SAP and non-SAP platforms. You will advise and guide project activities lead detailed project activities involving Databricks, Snowflake, Azure/AWS/GCP analytics services, and modern Llakehouse architectures-while ensuring seamless alignment with SAP BDC as the enterprise data foundation.
In this role, you will work directly with customer technical teams to configure pipelines, integrate data sources, optimize workloads, and operationalize analytics and AI use cases. You will support solution realization from design to deployment, translating architecture guidance into concrete technical deliverables.
You will collaborate with architects, data engineers, and SAP product teams to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure solution quality. As a competitive landscape expert, you will advise customers on best-fit technologies and help position SAP BDC effectively within broader enterprise ecosystems.
What You Bring:
* Exceptional hands-on implementation experience with modern data platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, Google, Azure or AWS data platforms.
* Experience building data pipelines, ETL/ELT flows, batch and streaming integrations, and lakehouse structures.
* Proficiency with SAP BDC or other SAP data products (Datasphere, SAC, BW/4HANA, HANA Cloud) and ability to integrate them with external data platforms.
* Practical understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, orchestration frameworks, and cloud DevOps workflows.
* Ability to assess trade-offs across competitive data platforms and advise on implementation choices.

1. Hands-On Implementation Guidance & Solution Realization
* Lead Guide the implementation of data pipelines, ingestion flows, and transformations across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
* Advise implementation teams on the optimal configuration, optimization, of workloads in Configure, optimize, and operationalize workloads on Databricks, Snowflake, and hyperscaler data & analytics services.
* Translate solution designs into working technical components and validate end-to-end functionality.
2. Integration Across SAP BDC and External Data Platforms
* Implement use cases spanning across SAP BDC and modern platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure/AWS/GCP).
* Support deployment of analytics-ready datasets for BI, planning, ML, and AI use cases.
3. Performance, Optimization & Technical Troubleshooting
* Analyze performance issues, optimize SQL/ETL/ELT pipelines, implement delta share and tune storage/compute configurations.
* Troubleshoot integration failures, schema mismatches, latency issues, and workload bottlenecks.
* Recommend improvements for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
4. Customer Collaboration, Enablement & Delivery Support
* Work closely with customer teams to clarify requirements, explain technical options, and guide implementation choices.
* Prepare and deliver technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guides.
* Support user acceptance testing, cutover planning, and deployment activities.
5. Competitive Landscape Expertise & Best Practices
* Advise customers on differences across platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS , and GCP and their ability to integrate with SAP BDC.
* Provide recommendations based on performance, cost, architecture, and use-case fit.
* Promote best practices for hybrid architectures combining SAP BDC with external data ecosystems.
Educaton and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems
Work Experience:
* 6-10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics platform implementation, or technical consulting.
* Hands-on project experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure/AWS/GCP data platforms.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to the technical delivery of IBM Maximo/MAS 9 and Maximo for Service Providers in a healthcare setting.
Configure, customize, and optimize Maximo solutions to support hospital equipment, biomedical devices, and facilities management.
Support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations with healthcare systems (EHR/EMR, CMMS, ERP).
Provide technical troubleshooting, defect resolution, and performance support for healthcare-specific Maximo use cases.
