We use analytics to advise our clients on decarbonization strategies, forecast the adoption of distributed energy resources, understand the impact of customer energy efficiency and transportation electrification programs, and more. As a member of the Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure Analytics team, you will have an opportunity to perform a wide range of analytics-related activities supporting model development and client projects. We are looking for someone with a passion for creative problem solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail. In this role, you will learn, be challenged, and develop skills at a fast pace. In addition to hands-on experience, training programs will teach you the diverse skills you need to succeed. Key responsibilities for this position may include: Strong understanding of one or several programming languages (such as Python, R), analytics software/platforms (such as GIS, Analytica), and use source code version control technologies (Git) Analyzing large and complex data sets Develop models leveraging statistical analysis, regression modeling, optimization, predictive modeling, simulation, machine learning, economic models Research and analysis on energy-related activities Interpret and communicate the implications of technical findings to non-technical audiences Contribute to report development, presentations and client requests Ability to manage time and tasks independently Work effectively with teams; work independently as needed What You Will Need: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Minimum Degree Pursued: Master's Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited degree program in summer of 2022 and graduate by June of 2023) What Would Be Nice To Have: Academic Backgrounds Preferred: Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science/Computer Information Systems, Operations Research, Economics, Environmental Engineering/Science, Computational Physics or other analytics degree Familiarity with analytical models, methods, applications and tools, such as: Statistical analysis, regression modeling, predictive modeling, simulation, machine learning, systems dynamics, linear and nonlinear optimization Selecting and applying the right analytical techniques Analyzing large and complex data sets, with strong aptitude for conducting quantitative analysis Proficiency in one or several programming languages, such as Python or R and source code version control technologies (Git) Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and slide presentation software The annual salary range for this position is $72,700.00-$130,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. This is an ideal role for someone with an IT audit background who is looking to utilize their skills to support clients internally as a consultant rather than as an external auditor. The IT Risk and Internal Audit Consultant will have a role in working directly with clients and other organizational stakeholders to support IT internal control efforts, including audits/assessments, remediation, and other ad-hoc efforts. Day-to-day tasks include some or all of the following: Performing rigorous audits/assessments of IT controls using industry-standard guidance and leading practices Performing walkthrough interviews and maintaining communication with a variety of client stakeholders, including system personnel such as system and database administrators Requesting, obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing a variety of artifacts to assist in executing IT controls testing such as security plans, SOPs, system screenshots, and system configuration settings Evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls using provided artifacts, industry-standard guidance, leading practices, and professional judgment Professionally documenting the results of IT controls test work in a consistent and high-quality manner that would allow a reviewer to repeat the test and reach the same conclusion Summarizing and communicating IT controls assessment results to a variety of client stakeholders, including senior leadership personnel Planning and executing day-to-day activities of IT controls assessments individually and for the team Working with client personnel to understand and analyze known IT control weaknesses, identify root causes, and develop detailed, robust remediation plans Providing subject matter expertise to client personnel on all matters relating to IT controls and responding to ad-hoc IT controls requests from client personnel What You Will Need: The ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust Bachelor's Degree ONE (1) or more year' experience in IT controls, audit, assessment, or remediation.
