Her contributions to the agency’s early development were so substantial that in 1935 the Center was renamed in her honor.
The name Sarah A. Reed Home was adopted in 1936 to honor Sarah Reed, a founder who served on the volunteer Board of Directors for 45 years.
In 1961 Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center opened its main campus in Millcreek Township.
In 1986, two independent non-profit corporations formed as Sarah Reed Children’s Center and Sarah Reed Retirement Center.
1994 Clock Tower is constructed on the Sassafras St side of Reed Manor
In July of 2015, Jane was honored to participate in the Ceremonial Groundbreaking for the Skilled Nursing Expansion.
