This is fast-paced work triaging calls, dispatching staff and security, and managing the primary switchboard duties for CentraCare.

At FutureCare our Dietary Aides/Porters are an integral part of the Food & Hospitality Department who ensure proper delivery of nutritional services to our residents. Under the direction of the Clinical Food Service Director, the Dietary Aide/Porter will follow proper care with food sanitation, food handling and safe serve policies set forth by the facility.

Responsibilities
Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
Serve and deliver food to residents as required
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
Properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
Transport/deliver food/beverage items to assigned residents
Assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
Load/operate dishwasher machine
Ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
Excellent communication skills
Must be courteous and friendly at all times
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or longer
Must be able to lift, push, and pull food carts and other food utility supplies up to 50lbs
Ability to deal with residents, and staff in a tactful, diplomatic and respectful manner
Ability to follow all written and verbal instructions
