Nuclear Power is a carbon-free energy source. Our nuclear power generation clients are digitizing their existing power plants and building new nuclear power plants, small modular reactors (SMR). This is expanding work in the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects and pursuits in the Sediments market and lead of dedicated team of professionals towards profitable growth within the remediation market and executing existing projects. This individual will serve as the sediment practice lead for the Remediation group to provide leadership around sediment remediation projects and design expertise to guide a variety of projects through site investigation, remedy evaluation and selection, design, construction, and restoration. * This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and power plant engineering * You will be preparing calculations, evaluations, and technical reports to support client recommendations and reviews, and will additionally conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection in response to project needs * While supporting project teams with other Mechanical Engineers, you will be involved in system engineering, including the design, modification, and analysis of power plant mechanical systems * There is the potential for you to travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for meetings and field verification of designs This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.
