RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Must have the ability to be aware of and recognize potentially dangerous situations in the shop and yard and be capable of rectifying and avoiding the situation while operating equipment. Completing work to the highest standards of quality.
Restocking components and materials, when necessary.
Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area.

Immediately reporting any production problems to the Supervisor.
Provide quality control check on all raw materials and finished products.
Read shop drawings, or written instructions to determine method and sequence of Assembling parts.
Gather webs and place in proper areas next to set-up.
Measures, adjusts, and trims parts to make them fit correctly.
Applies plates in correct position and use plates of corrects size and gauge.
Ensure quality of end product by watching for missing or un-pressed plates, bad lumber, And poor fitting joints.
Stack and straighten lumber for the off-feed of saws
