About the job
The Account Executive is responsible for driving growth in Medical Devices accounts in the Health and Life Sciences Sales Division. This includes development of new and existing account relationships to expand our existing footprint, business prospecting and sales across customer business units. You will champion the sales cycle and work across teams to achieve the best solution for our customer.
As an Account Executive, you will:
Sell software, solutions and services to current and prospective customers; work with other sales/pre-sales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within assigned territory.
Fulfill a wide range of requests for information from prospective customers. Qualify level of opportunity and resources required.
Prospect within a territory or account to uncover business needs.
Implement aspects of territory and account management and development; identifies accounts with high "close" potential, qualifies, advances opportunity through milestone steps of sales cycle and forecast time frames to close business within Orion.
Work closely with pre-sales resources and executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high revenue potential opportunities.
Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals. Refer to GCF and include if security is listed.

Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS, or other relevant discipline.
Requires a minimum of five years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical support of computer software solutions (including related training products and services), computer hardware, or telecommunications software/hardware.
Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan; ability to communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel.

The base salary range for this position is $112,613 USD - $125,000 USD per year and is a good faith estimate only. The range does not include any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Actual pay will vary depending on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay is just one component of SAS's total compensation package for employees. Employees may also be eligible for commission or discretionary bonus (based on company and individual performance) as determined by the role. As a Senior Product Manager for Data Acceleration, in collaboration with the wider product strategy team, you will be responsible for driving product strategy across the SAS platform in the areas of high-performance data processing and model execution. In this high-impact role, you will define and evolve the product direction for a portfolio of technologies that accelerate data access, transformation, and analytics execution across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
This includes ownership of SAS SpeedyStore and SAS In-Database Technologies, which enable high-speed model scoring, code acceleration, SAS Visual Analytics (VA) acceleration, and model training. As a System Technical Support Engineer, you will:
Provide first and second level support for external and internal customers

Required qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science
5+ years of experience programming, testing, software consulting, technical support or supporting complex software applications (with at least 2 years doing support work)
Support experience with multiple tier software systems, running on Unix/Linux and Microsoft Windows Server Operating system, and utilizing java web application servers (e.g. Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic or JBoss) and database servers
Experience debugging enterprise, multi-tiered software applications and/or solutions which are running in production and over remote screen sharing with customers. Therefore, you would be familiar with the higher pressure involved when there is significant business impact.
Working competency in at least one of the following operating systems, but familiar with all: Windows, Unix or Linux. Linux administration experience is preferred.

About the job
The Viya 3.5 Security team is looking for a Software Developer to be a key contributor to securing SAS' Viya 3.5 customer offerings. Successful candidates will partner within SAS helping to solve complex technical problems anywhere in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from architecture and design to deployment and operations. This role will require technical breadth with a strong background in C to address concerns across SAS' entire product portfolio.
As a Software Developer, you will:
Participate in architecture and implementation discussions and actively engage in agile rituals including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, DevOps, and fellow developers to deliver secure, high-quality software solutions for SAS' entire product portfolio
Design and develop security features and enhancements for the Viya 3.5 platform, ensuring robust protection of customer data and systems
Participate in project scoping and tracking using the Agile methodology in a continuous delivery environment
Provide guidance to junior team members on technical challenges and best practices
Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in C and high performance, multi-threaded, event-driven systems
Demonstrated knowledge of secure software development practices including threat modeling, secure coding standards, and vulnerability remediation
Strong understanding of software development tools, methodologies (Agile/Scrum), and design principles
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Additional competencies, knowledge and skills
Communication: Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Technology Savvy: Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to strengthen our platforms
Collaboration: Ability to work independently as part of a team while mentoring younger team members
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and scripting languages like Python
Experience with security scanning tools (e.g., Snyk, Prisma, Klocwork, ZAP)
Understanding of cybersecurity principles including FIPS compliance, TLS/SSL protocols, certificate and private key infrastructure, and cryptographic ciphers
Familiarity with Java
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development
