The JMP Finance team is hiring a Senior Accountant. What you'll do: This role is crucial to the success of our Finance team and includes working closely with other team members. Broadly, the Senior Accountant will perform daily tasks as it relates to travel, expense, and other general ledger transactions including recordkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Specific job responsibilities will include: * Reviewing expense transactions to ensure they conform to company policy, escalating violations to leadership as needed * Proactively researching issues and proposing solutions for resolution * Assisting in the creation of processes and procedures to properly capture, track and report expense transactions * Providing training to employees on expense policies and system usage * Supporting employees by providing great customer service through answering questions but also driving compliance * Entering journal entries and maintaining the general ledger * Preparing monthly account reconciliations of financial data, researching variances, and adjusting as needed * Creating and maintaining KPIs * Assisting with procure to pay processes as needed * Initiating requests for system enhancements and assisting with user acceptance testing * Participating in special projects and initiatives as needed What we're looking for: * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred with 7 to 8 years of expense or accounting experience in a multinational organization * Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
