The Human Resources Coordinator supports day-to-day HR and people operations for approximately 14 restaurant locations across California, Nevada, and Texas. This role is based in the West Hollywood home office and is based in office. The HR Coordinator serves as a key administrative partner to the HR team, with a strong emphasis on California employment compliance, employee support, benefits administration, and an ability to support multi-state HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for multi-state HR operations across restaurant locations in CA, NV, and TX, with a primary focus on California employment compliance.
Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, escalating issues as appropriate.
Assist with employee relations support, documentation, and follow-up.
Process EDD requests, employment verifications, and records requests, particularly for California-based employees.
Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and open enrollment.
Act as a liaison between employees, payroll, and benefits providers to resolve benefits-related issues.
Complete, verify, and maintain Form I-9 documentation in compliance with federal and state requirements.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding, including candidate tracking and interview scheduling.
Maintain accurate employee records and data in the HRIS (Paylocity experience a plus).
Support rewards and recognition programs and general office administration as needed.
Assist with ensuring multi-state compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications
Working knowledge of California employment law required.
2-3 years of prior HR Coordinator or HR administrative experience preferred; hospitality/restaurant experience a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
HRIS experience required; Paylocity strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you'll do:
Prep Cook - responsible for the preparation of recipes according to guidelines and timelines.
