Nitsa Niarchos

CFO

Nitsa Niarchos was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of SBS in June 2019. She leads SBS’s Finance Division including the Corporate Strategy, Financial Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis and Audience, Data & Insights teams. She also has oversight of the Media Sales Division. Responsible for the strategic and budgetary planning processes, reporting and compliance, oversight of risk management, and other key financial, commercial and operational activities across the organisation.

Nitsa brings 25 years of financial management and media experience to the position both in Australia and in the United Kingdom. Her career includes more than 20 years working at SBS in a range of key finance roles and has been instrumental in the various Government reviews of SBS, including the Competitive Neutrality Inquiry and the two efficiency reviews of the ABC and SBS.

Nitsa has previously worked at the National Audit Office (UK) and Ernst & Young. She is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) degree from the University of Sydney, majoring in Economics, Accounting and Commercial Law.
