Mr. Altenburg brings nearly 30 years of experience in both the public and private sector addressing critical infrastructure protection and mission assurance missions at the national level. He has led the development of emergency preparedness and security programs for multiple federal agencies, including the Defense Intelligence Agency, the US Departments of Commerce, Education, and Energy, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He has led transformational efforts for large federal and defense organizations, including the modernization of the U.S. Special Operations Command. He has extensive experience supporting and leading homeland security programs, including building state and local assistance programs for several DHS components, and supporting CBRN counter-terrorism programs for the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security, Energy, and the Department of Defense. Mr. Altenburg currently leads SC&A’s support to the Department of Homeland Security focused on countering weapons of mass destruction.
